Race 1. INHISTIME. C Spry +0.5kg

Race 1: QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP 1200 Metres

Endinaye – Shifted out on jumping inconveniencing a runner to its outside. Over-raced in the early and middle stages.

Gem Rowie – Raced greenly in the home straight.

Vancouver Lights – Bumped with another runner soon after jumping.

Lockdown Lady – Slowly away. Inconvenienced `when racing in restricted room for a short distance passing the 250m.

Inhistime - Raced greenly in the home straight. Raced wide for the majority.

Mishani Pharoah – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

Mishani Dreamer - Bumped with another runner soon after jumping.

Mishani Tsunami – Inconvenienced on jumping.

Race 2: VALE RUSS REGUSON MAIDEN HANDICAP 1000 Metres

Rebozo – Inconvenienced passing the 200m.

Vindictive Miss – Slowly away after being inconvenienced on jumping.

Vevi Pass – Began awkwardly. Over-raced when crossed by another runner passing the 900m. Raced greenly in the home straight.

Whobethatnow – Shifted in on jumping inconveniencing a runner to its inside. Shifted ground under pressure near the 100m inconveniencing another runner. App M Potgieter was reprimanded for careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a).

All Bar Surah – Raced wide for the majority. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to the off fore leg.

Alpha Blue – Raced in restricted room approaching the winning post. Raced wide for the majority.

Chatilly – App M Castle reported the mare was inclined to hang out in running. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight inconveniencing runners to its outside. App Castle was reminded of her obligation to stop riding and straighten her mount in similar circumstances.

Marinasara – Slowly into stride.

Sasanquas – Inconvenienced passing the 200m. Shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages inconveniencing a runner to its inside. Jockey N Day was reprimanded for careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a).

Race 3: HYGAIN CLASS 5 HANDICAP 1400 Metres

Tunero – Raced wide from the 800m. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near fore leg. Trainer S Wilson was advised a Veterinary clearance would be required prior to next race start.

Soldiers (NZ) – Over-raced in the middle stages. Steadied when disappointed for a run near the 400m.

Strike A Beau – Over-raced in the middle stages.

Halcyon House – Began awkwardly.

Zouvilla – Trainer J Hassett advised the gelding which had been freshened after failing to run out a strong 2000m at its previous start, was in her opinion better suited over the shorter distance of today’s race.

As Yawood - Raced wide from the 800m.

Race 4: BROWN BROTHERS BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1000 Metres

Star Banner – Slowly away. Shifted out and bumped with another runner near the 600m.

Go Deep – Slowly away. Raced wide from the 650m.

Supposedly Wicked – Bumped by another runner near the 600m.

Exceedingly Kool – Unable to obtain clear running until a point passing the 200m.

Molongle Surprise – Raced wide for the majority.

Race 5: HOLD YOUR EVENT @ CLUDEN PARK BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1000 Metres

Mount Costa - Over-raced in the early and middle stages.

Cheeky Reward – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Over-raced in the early and middle stages, having to be restrained off heels near the 650m.

Norwegian Wood – Slowly away after bumping with another runner on jumping.

She's Maganda - Bumped with another runner on jumping.

Could You Be Loved - Bumped with another runner on jumping. Jockey S Wilson was cautioned in relation to his use of the whip on a beaten runner.

Star Singer – Slowly away.

Race 6: CARLTON & UNITED BREWERIES BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1609 Metres

Candy Girl – Raced wide from the 600m. Performed below market expectations. Jockey B Pengelly advised that in hindsight he may have erred in not attempting to ride the mare closer to the pace in running. Jockey Pengelly was reminded of his obligation to ride his mount out to the finish of the race. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Noir Jack – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.

Marvellous Heart - Slowly into stride.

Pure Rubick – Raced ungenerously passing the 1400m. Bumped with another runner near the 200m.

Nature Deel – Hung in rounding the 1st turn. Bumped with another runner near the 200m. Had difficulty obtaining clear running over the concluding stages.

Conquering Judas – Slowly into stride. Raced ungenerously in the early stages. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.

Sandy Toes – Slowly into stride. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Race 7: TAB OPEN HANDICAP 1300 Metres

Grey Missile – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.

Simply Splashing – Began awkwardly. Was inconvenienced passing the 150m.

Dalon – Raced wide for the majority.

Our Alicia's Lane – The gelding which raced at Cairns on August 28 underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Over-raced in the early stages.

Break My Stride – Shifted out on jumping inconveniencing a runner to its outside. Raced wide for the majority. Severely checked passing the 150m.

Brilliant Mind – Over-raced in the early stages.

Danawi – Inconvenienced on jumping. Was racing ungenerously near the 600m, improving onto heels and blundering.

Hi Zero - Over-raced in the early stages.

On returning to scale connections of 4th placed Simply Splashing requested to view footage of the final stages of the race to determine whether grounds existed for an objection against 1st placed Danawi. After viewing the footage they elected not to proceed and Correct Weight was declared on the Judge’s numbers.

Jockey D Smith pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a) in that he permitted his mount Danawi, near the 150m, to shift in under riding, when insufficiently clear of Break My Stride (W D’Avila) which was severely checked, almost dislodging Jockey D’Avila. Simply Splashing (S Sheargold) which was racing to the inside of Break My Stride was also inconvenienced in this incident. Jockey Smith’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 13 days, following completion of a previously incurred suspension, and will commence on Saturday September 18, 2021 up to and including Thursday September 30, 2021. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account the degree of interference and carelessness, both of which were deemed to be in the mid range, as well as Jockey Smith’s guilty plea and his personal circumstances. Jockey Smith was advised of his right to refer the matter to the Internal Reviewer.

Race 8: FOLLOW CLUDEN PARK ON FACEBOOK BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1200 Metres

Wanna Tweet was a late withdrawal at 5.24pm. after being found to be lame in the near fore leg. Trainer G Hughes was advised a Veterinary clearance would be required prior to next race start. Prior to the declaration of Correct Weight Stewards ordered that all monies wagered on the mare be refunded in full and further that the following deductions apply:
1st placed Trapassi 6 cents win/5 cents place
2nd placed Oswana 8 cents place
3rd placed Bondi Beau 5 cents place

Oswana – Slowly away. Shifted out abruptly near the 200m inconveniencing a runner to its outside. Jockey B Pengelly was reprimanded for careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a).

Blazing Steel - The gelding which raced at Cairns on August 28 underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Shifted out under pressure approaching the 200m hampering a runner to its outside. Jockey R Wiggins was reprimanded for careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a).


Cupid's Son – Raced wide from the 800m.

The Thick of It – Slowly away after beginning awkwardly. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Momentarily restrained when racing in restricted room near the 400m. Inconvenienced near the 200m.

Trapassi – Over-raced in the middle stages.

Keighley Sun – Over-raced in the early stages.

Lighthorse Lad – Slowly away after beginning awkwardly. Unable to obtain clear running in the home straight until having to be restrained near the 200m to avoid the heels of a runner which was shifting out under pressure.

Mighty Marmalade – Raced wide for the majority.

Chic Sox – Raced ungenerously for a short distance in the middle stages. Held up for clear running passing the 250m.
