Due to current COVID restrictions the following over-weights were permitted.
 
Race 2- Jockey C Whiteley +1/2kg
Race 3- Jockey S Sheargold +1kg
              Jockey C Whiteley +1/2kg
Race 7- Jockey S Sheargold +1kg
 
 
 
As Jockey M Abe was to be overweight on his mounts in Races 4 and 7 riding replacements were made as per Stewards race day summary. Jockey Abe was consequently fined $300 under the provisions of AR190(3) and issued with a directive to not accept rides under 55kg until he is able to demonstrate to the satisfaction of Stewards that he is able to satisfy that weight
 
 
 
 
Race 1: BOOK YOUR CHRISTMAS PARTY @ CLUDEN PARK QTIS TWO-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP 1000m
 
GO GETABOY and TYCOON CINDY were both declared late scratching’s by order of Stewards at 12:56pm after both runners were found to have been presented to the mounting yard shod with steel shoes rather than racing plates. Prior to the declaration of correct weight all monies invested on the two runners were ordered to be refunded and the following deductions applied to all successful wagers placed prior to 12:56pm:
 
51 cents in the dollar for the win
47 cents in the dollar for the place of winner
52 cents in the dollar for 2nd place
29 cents in the dollar for 3rd place
 
At a subsequent inquiry Stable representative L Terzi, acing on behalf of Trainer O Chillemi, pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR107 with Stewards imposing fines totalling $800 for the two breaches. In considering the matter Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was the result of negligence rather than anything nefarious and took into account Miss Terzi’s forthright evidence as well as the stables good record in relation to the rule whilst being mindful of the potential ramifications of such a breach. An inspection of the plates on Mr Chillemi’s remaining runners was conducted by the Farrier with no additional irregularities identified.
 
 
BLONDIES SECRET- Commenced to race greenly when restrained to obtain a position with cover passing the 800m and continued to race greenly thereafter. Proved reluctant to improve into a run between runners on several occasions down the running.
 
HEROIC BOY- Raced awkwardly for a short distance after changing its lead passing the 600m. Inconvenienced by another runner which shifted in passing the 100m.
 
LORD POWER- Bumped with another runner which was being inconvenienced passing the 100m.
 
MISSION ESTATE- Inclined to lay in under pressure down the running. Shifted in passing the 100m inconveniencing another runner. Jockey C Spry was severely reprimanded as a result of the incident and advised to make greater effort in ensuring his mount races true in similar circumstances. Raced wide for the majority.
 
 
 
 
Race 2: HYGAIN OPEN HANDICAP 1400m
 
DIO D’ORO- Dwelt in the barriers at the start.
 
TEMPO- Inclined to over-race during the middle stages as a consequence of the slow pace.
 
 
 
Race 3: QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD HANDICAP 1000m
 
HUSETTE- Began awkwardly.
 
CHHYNA XPRESS- Began awkwardly. Raced awkwardly for a short distance when restrained to obtain a position with cover passing the 900m.
 
HALLSIDE HAMMER- Commenced to shift ground under pressure approaching the winning post.
 
VALLEY RATTLER- Raced wide for the majority.
 
 
 
Race 4: CARLTON & UNITED BREWERIES MAIDEN HANDICAP 1200m
 
The start of the Race was delayed to 2:57pm to prevent a timing clash with an interstate event. Patrons were made aware by way of on course announcement.
 
 
GET A MOVING JET- Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped with another runner.
 
COUNT THE BEERS- Buffeted between runners on jumping, shifted out and bumped with another runner soon after. Raced wide for the majority.
 
TOSCAVALE ROAD- Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped with another runner. Bumped by another runner which shifted out soon after jumping. Shifted in marginally under pressure passing the 200m momentarily crowding another runner.
 
FOCUS- Began awkwardly and shifted out on jumping bumping another runner.
 
BRAVE MISSILE- Bumped by another runner on jumping.
 
MIND GAME- Began awkwardly and shifted in on jumping bumping another runner.
 
MONTEMURRO- Buffeted between runners on jumping. Was placed under pressure from the 1000m in an attempt to maintain contact with the field but was unable to do so and assumed a trailing position throughout before finishing the race off fairly. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
BRIDGERTON- Bumped with another runner on jumping before bumping with a further runner soon after. Jockey J Felix advised his mount was inclined to hang out from the 800m. Momentarily crowded for room passing the 200m.
 
MOODY’S LUCK- Bumped with another runner soon after jumping.
 
MISS PIXIE- Raced wide for the majority.
 
DREW’S DUBLE- Raced wide for the majority.
 
 
 
Race 5: TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY CLASS 3 HANDICAP 1400m
 
AREE AL- Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide in the early stages.
 
GREENSKEEPER- Bumped with another runner on jumping.
 
HELL OF A BOY- Bumped with another runner on jumping. Inclined to race keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
HALLSIDE HOT STUFF- Bumped with another runner on jumping.
 
EROE- Shifted out on jumping bumping with another runner.
 
FRASCATI MISS (NZ) Crowded for room on jumping and bumped with another runner after being marginally slow into stride. Commenced to tire soon after entering the home straight and finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
 
 
Race 6: BROWN BROTHERS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1000m
 
RED WABBAT- Trainer T McGovern was fined the sum of $100 for negligence under the provisions of AR227 for presenting the mare for pre-race inspection with the incorrect gear. Shifted in and bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide for the majority.
 
CALCULUS- Trainer B WIlliams was fined the sum of $100 for negligence under the provisions of AR227 for presenting the gelding for pre-race inspection with the incorrect gear. Restrained to avoid improving onto heels passing the 700m and commenced to over-race from that point on.
 
I AM BOLT- Buffeted between runners on jumping. Shifted out in an effort to obtain clear running on entering the home straight and hampered another runner before being corrected by its rider.
 
MADAM JANE- Shifted out on jumping bumping with another runner. Bumped with another runner on entering the home straight.
 
OYASHIO- Shifted out soon after jumping. Obliged to steady passing the 150m when a runner to the outside shifted out when not fully clear.
 
LA READY ROSA- Hampered soon after jumping. Obliged to restrain passing the 100m when the run being attempted became untenable before it was secured. Shifted in abruptly soon after to secure clear running.
 
DANITES- Inclined to race ungenerously from the 800m. Inclined to lay out under pressure passing the 50m momentarily hampering another runner.
 
CHEEKY REWARD- Improved onto heels having to be steadied passing the 800m. Momentarily hampered passing the 50m. On the 10/11/2021 Trainer E Sewell advised the mare had minor lacerations on both hind legs consistent with being galloped on in running.
 
STARFILLY- Over-raced on heels having to be restrained passing 800m and continued to over-race until a point near the 400m. Held up for clear running on entering the home straight until a point near the 150m when directed out to obtain clear running when not fully clear of another runner. Jockey L Morrison was severely reprimanded as a result of this incident.
 
HAMMERTONE- Momentarily hampered by another runner on entering the home straight before shifting out and bumping with another runner.
 
SHEPHERD OF FIRE- App E Bell was reprimanded under the provisions of AR132(5) in that she did use her whip 15 times, 1 more than permitted, throughout the event. Raced wide for the majority.
 
ZULU TUK- Raced wide for the majority.
 
 
 
Race 7: CLUDEN PARK MEMBERS JACKPOT DRAWN THIS FRIDAY CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200m
 
MIGHTY MARMALADE- Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide for the majority.
 
PREDICTS- Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped with another runner.
 
RUN RAMPANT- Inclined to race keenly in the middle stages.
 
DUBAI EAGLE- Inclined to race keenly in the middle stages.
 
RIVERINA DEMAND- Over-raced from the 1000m-800m. Raced wide for the majority.
