SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

Race 3. QTIS 3YO Handicap 1200m
King Jester – A Veterinary examination, including blood analysis, conducted following the gelding’s return to its Cairns base, revealed no significant findings. Vital parameters were within normal limits, there were no signs of lameness, and the gelding was bright and alert. Trainer R Miller has advised Stewards it is his intention to press on with King Jester’s preparation.

The following overweights were permitted:

Race 3. A Layt +1kg
Race 6. A Thomson +1kg
 
Race 1: TAB VENUE MODE QTIS Two-Year-Old Handicap 1200 metres
 
Go Getaboy – Became unbalanced after being inconvenienced by another runner approaching the 100m.
 
Heroic Boy – Shifted out approaching the 400m inconveniencing a runner to its outside. Jockey S Wilson was advised to exercise more care. Laid in under pressure approaching the 100m inconveniencing a runner to its inside.
 
Dominant Rose – Shifted in on jumping inconveniencing a runner to its inside.
 
Mr Kobo – Slowly away after beginning awkwardly. Inconvenienced approaching the 400m when a runner to its inside shifted out. Raced wide for the majority.
 
Vee Eight Power – Inconvenienced on jumping.
 
Race 2: LUST BOUTIQUE HIRE Maiden Handicap 1000 metres
 
Nonno Joe – Reluctant to load. Slowly away.
 
Flying Artist – Began awkwardly.
 
Grisham – Shifted in on jumping, inconveniencing a runner to its inside.
 
Listen Listen – Inconvenienced near the 550m. Raced wide for the majority.
 
Snap Chat – Inconvenienced on jumping.
 
Vista Oriental – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Cool Harry – Inconvenienced on jumping. Tightened between runners soon after the start.
 
Heroic Kitty – Shifted out marginally near the 550m inconveniencing a runner to its outside. Jockey J Felix was fined the sum of $100.00 under the provisions of AR211(1) after weighing in more than 0.5kg overweight.
 
Let's Runaway – Inconvenienced on jumping.
 
Race 3: COCO AND LO QUALITY SKIN CARE BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1900 metres
 
Stubai – Shifted in abruptly on jumping.
 
Zeppelin – Tightened between runners on jumping.
 
City Smart – Inconvenienced approaching the 450m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the off foreleg. Trainer R Miller was advised a veterinary clearance is required prior to next race start.
 
Star Status - Made the 1600m crossing awkwardly.
 
Salsa Dreaming – Shifted out abruptly on jumping. Made the 1600m crossing awkwardly. Shifted out approaching the 450m, inconveniencing a runner to its outside. Jockey L Morrison was advised to exercise more care.
 
Double Denman – Raced wide from the 700m.
 
Undoubted – Fractious in the barrier. Restrained in the early stages in order to obtain a position closer to the inside running rail.
 
Lincoln Fury – Slowly away.
 
Race 4: MOSS AND STRAW BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1000 metres
 
Bakuhatsu - Raced wide for the majority.
 
Raise Da Vibration – Slowly away. Shifted in under pressure approaching the 100m.
 
Sancy Rose - Raced wide for the majority.
 
Private Sector – Began awkwardly.
 
Jim's Princess – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Dusky Damsel – Inconvenienced when awkwardly placed in restricted room approaching the 400m. Held up for clear running on straightening. Shifted ground under pressure down the running.
 
Calculus – Slowly away.
 
Red Nebula – Slowly away. Jockey P Romeo was reprimanded under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used his whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m. 1st offence.
 
Em Cee Gee - Raced wide for the majority.
 
Madam Jane – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 5: HYGAIN BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1000 metres
 
Go Deep – Slowly into stride. Was inconvenienced near the 850m. Raced ungenerously rounding the home turn.
 
Shepherd Of Fire – Laid in in the early stages.
 
Sarandos – Bumped with another runner near the 950m. Shifted in near the 850m inconveniencing runners to its inside. App I Teh was advised to exercise more care.
 
Red Peroni – Slowly into stride after beginning awkwardly.
 
Bonython - Was inconvenienced near the 850m.
 
Todwick – Slowly into stride. Post-race was found to have bled from both nostrils. The gelding will incur the mandatory 3 months ban and be required to gallop 1000m satisfactorily in the presence of a Steward prior to racing again. AR79.
 
Redzeb - Bumped with another runner near the 950m. Steadied soon after when crossed by another runner which was laying in. Raced wide for the majority.
 
Mymill – Was inconvenienced near the 850m.
 
The Magic One - Raced wide for the majority.

She's Maganda - A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the off foreleg. Trainer W Winter was advised a veterinary clearance is required prior to next race start.
 
Cinderella Rose - Slowly into stride after beginning awkwardly.
 
Race 6: MITAVITE QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap 1000 metres
 
Boomed – Slowly into stride. Inconvenienced soon after the start.
 
Hallside Hammer – Shifted in abruptly on jumping.
 
Star Midfielder – Tightened between runners on jumping.
 
Le Rubis - Tightened between runners on jumping.
 
Miss Seattle – Slowly into stride after being tightened between runners on jumping.
 
Keys Please – Shifted out soon after the start inconveniencing another runner.
 
Spirit Meister - Slowly into stride after being tightened between runners on jumping.
 
Taken By Theft – Shifted out abruptly on jumping.
 
Race 7: FEED 2 GO Class 6 Handicap 1400 metres
 
Brilliant Mind – Over-raced in the middle stages.
 
I Dream Of Green - A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Prime Ruler – Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
 
Xanthus – Shifted out under pressure near the 50m inconveniencing a runner to its outside. Jockey A Layt was reprimanded for careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a). Jockey Layt received a further reprimand under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used his whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m. 1st offence.
 
Don Arcangelo – Bumped on several occasions when racing tight with another runner in the home straight. Inconvenienced near the 50m.
 
Hurricane Fighter (NZ) – Slowly away after beginning awkwardly.
 
Mystery 'N' Magic – Raced wide from the 800m. Bumped on several occasions when racing tight with another runner in the home straight.
 
Race 8: IN MEMORY OF CRAIG DIETRICH BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200 metres
 
Auxin – Began awkwardly.
 
Lighthorse Lad – Held up for clear running in the home straight. Went to the line without being fully tested.
 
Rebel Bro – Slowly away. Unable to obtain clear running for a considerable distance in the home straight. Went to the line without being fully tested.
 
Proximate Cause – Over-raced for a short distance when crossed by another runner near the 800m. Raced wide for the majority.
 
Theresabearinthere - Raced wide for the majority.
 
Coco Cuber – Slow to begin after being tightened between runners on jumping. Over-raced in the middle stages. Raced wide for the majority.
 
Bells Approaching – Unable to obtain clear running over the concluding stages. Clipped the heels of another runner after the winning post, falling and dislodging Jockey A Thomson. Ms Thomson, who walked away from the incident, declined medical attention and declared herself free of any injury. A post-race veterinary examination revealed Bells Approaching to have sustained numerous superficial wounds to both forelegs.
 
Passing the 100m Arise My Son (J Stanley) shifted out under pressure making heavy contact with Validar (J Baker) and causing that runner to bump heavily with Dunatun (App C Collis). As a result Validar became unbalanced and shifted back in again making heavy contact with Arise My Son, causing Jockey Stanley to become extremely unbalanced in the saddle and almost being dislodged. Deadly Diva, which was following the aforementioned runners was inconvenienced.
