Hassett advised stewards subsequent to JOHNNY THUNDER competing at Townsville Friday 30 September 2020, Race 5 on the program that the gelding was found to be lame in the off-fore leg injuring its tendon. Ms Hassett was advised a veterinary certificate of soundness would be required prior to the gelding being permitted to race or trial again. Murphy + .50kg, No 13 C. Whiteley + 1.5kg Race 1: RACING QUEENSLAND SUPPORTS RACING INDUSTRY SAFETYOPEN Handicap 1000 Metres EL SHADAY (NZ) – Shifted in at the start bumping DORDOGNE. DORDOGNE – Bumped on jumping and shifted in tightening runners to its inside.MY BEST EFFORT – Tightened for room shortly after the start. LIFETIME QUEST – Tightened for room shortly after the start. BOLD TYPE – Laid out in the early and middle stages. SUPPOSEDLY WICKED – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 2: NECK OF THE WOODS SATURDAY OCTOBER 8TH MaidenHandicap 1000 Metres DON'T DOUBT HINCHI – Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by trainer S. Seymour for the late declaration of rider. Slow to begin. Shifted out to obtain clear running near the 200 metres crowding IMBATIDO. QUE CEE SPADE – Trainer K. Russel was reprimanded in that she failed to make application for permitted overweight for the gelding by the appropriate time. Rider M. Abe was dislodged in the parade yard prior to entering the track, declared himself free of any injury and remounted. Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race. TOSCAVALE ROAD – Began awkwardly, making contact with its inside barrier petition and lost ground. ZA ZA READY – Shifted out at the start tightening IMBATIDO. IMBATIDO – Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground. Crowded for room near the 200 metres. ALITA – Began awkwardly. MISSIN' DE QUO – Raced wide for the majority of the race. NANNA BAX – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 3: CLUDEN PARK QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1200 Metres MILLVALE – Slow to begin. POLARMORE PRINCESS – Slow to begin. GINASUE – Slow to begin. BRADBURY'S EXPRESS – Inconvenienced shortly after the start and steadied. Raced greenly in the middle stages and shifted wider leaving the 800 metres. JUKEBOX DANCER – Shifted in soon after the start inconveniencing BRADBURY’S EXPRESS. Rider W. D’Vila was advised show greater care. Took charge of its rider near the 800 metres and shifted to the outside running rail and took no further competitive part in the race. Trainer W. Kenning was advised the gelding must officially trial to the satisfaction of stewards before being permitted to race again. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Race 4: TAB Class 3 Plate 1400 Metres MCNAIR (NZ) – Slow to begin. SIREN ROCK – Slow to begin.FRAZZLED – Slow to begin.ZABERFELDIE (NZ) – Shifted wider near the 600 metres.A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding identified the presence of blood in both nostrils. ZABERFILDIE shall not without the permission of the Stewards: (a) be trained, exercised or galloped on any racecourse for a period of two months; (b) start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after a satisfactory gallop of at least 1,000 metres in the presence of a Steward. AR79(4) INDICTMENT – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 5: HYGAIN BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1609 Metres NOIR JACK – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 6: MITAVITE BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200 Metres WANNA TWEET – Slow to begin. COCO CUBER – Bumped on jumping and lost ground.KISS ME LATER – Shifted out at the start bumping COCO CUBER and lost ground. Raced wide for the majority of the race. TEMPO (NZ) – Momentarily held for clear running near the 300 metres. LOUD NOISE – Raced wide for the majority of the race. TAWHIRI – A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding identified the presence of blood in both nostrils. TAWHIRI shall not without the permission of the Stewards: (a) be trained, exercised or galloped on any racecourse for a period of two months; (b) start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after a satisfactory gallop of at least 1,000 metres in the presence of a Steward. AR79(4) Race 7: CARLTON & UNITED BREWERIES RATINGS BAND 0 - 55Handicap 1000 Metres SUNNY EKCELS – Delayed the start when reluctant to proceed to the barriers. Trainer L. McCormack was advised a warning would be placed on its parading manners. Began very awkwardly and lost ground. ZAKHEERA – Slow to begin. Bumped on the hindquarters near the 600 metres and was unbalanced. Bumped near the 200 metres. Raced wide for the majority of the race. LIGHTHEADEDNESS – Shifted in bumping ZAKHEERA on the hindquarters near the 600 metres.Raced wide for the majority of the race. FOX WARRIOR – Began awkwardly. Commenced to hang out for a short distance near the 400 metres and lost ground. NORWEGIAN WOOD – Inconvenienced near the 400 metres when FOX WARRIOR lost ground and was restrained. DON'T WHISPER – Held up for clear running approaching and leaving 400 metres. Raced in restricted room and shifted inwards near 150 metres. SPIRITOFTHEVALLEY – Shifted out near the 200 metres bumping ZAKHEERA. MURUNGAL –Raced wide for the majority of the race. ARROGANT HEART –Raced wide for the majority of the race.
