Race 3 – Jockey S Sheargoldwas permitted to ride Sea Echo (0.5)kilogram overweight.
 
Race 4 – Jockey’s A Sewell (Hit Snooze) and C Whiteley (Buster Block)were permitted to ridetheir mounts (0.5)kilogram overweight.
 
 
Race 1: BROWN BROTHERS QTIS Two-Year-Old Handicap 1000 metres
 
Roweiner's Dance had to be steadied off the heels of Average Jane at the 600 meters and became unbalanced.
 
Average Jane jumped inwards at the start and contacted the starting gate.
 
Tahkian Bubbles jumped inwards contacting I’m Famous.
 
 
Race 2: TAB QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Plate 1000 metres
 
Heez Alrite raced wide throughout.
 
Worthy Essgee failed to muster early speed.

Bogan Princess shift out marginally at the 500 meters hampering Dominant Rose. Bogan Princess again shifted out under pressure at the 300 metres resulting in Dominant Rose having to be steadied and Heez Alrite also being inconvenienced.
 
Harlow Queen raced wide throughout.
 
Huski Rose was slow to begin and failed tobe competitive. Connections were advised that Huski Rose is stood down from racing at TAB Meetings until Stewards are satisfied the filly will perform in the desired manner.
 
Beau Epoch brushed the running rail at the 100 meters and became unbalanced.
 
 
Race 3: CLUDEN PARK QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap 1300 metres
 
Zipping Irish blundered badly when the gates opened almost dislodging Jockey J Stanley. Raced wide from the 1000 metres. Zipping Irish was inspected by the Club Veterinarian after the event and found to have suffered no injury.
 
Baby Guinness blundered shortly after jumping.
 
Freddy Barbarossa – Cast a hind plate when arriving at the barriers.Permission was granted for the gelding to then race without both hind plates. Freddy Barbarossa was slow to begin and commenced to overrace from the 1100 metres to the 900 metres.
 
Ratalouie slow to begin.
 
 
Race 4: CARLTON & UNITED BREWERIES OPEN Handicap 1200 metres
 
Smart Image was held up for clear running approaching the home turn. Smart Image brushed the running rail at the 300 metres when attempting to obtain a clear run to the inside of Hit Snooze where insufficient room existed at that point. Jockey L Morrison was cautioned regarding the same and was advised to ensure sufficient room fully existed when attempting similar runs.
 
Hit Snooze reared as the barriers opened.
 
Redzeb commenced to overrace from the 1000 meters to the 500 meters.
 
 
Race 5: MITAVITE BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1400 metres
 
Break My Stride – Hung out over the concluding stages. Jockey N Day was questioned as to whether he had struck the gelding with the whip forward of the shoulder over the final 150 metres.After viewing the Stewards Patrol film, Jockey N Day was granted the benefit of a grave doubt as to whether he had contravened AR132 6 (a).
 
Miss Seattle - Slow to begin.
 
McNair (NZ) – Slow to begin

Higher Love – Raced wide from the 800 metres.
 
Chaotic Cranach - Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 6: HYGAIN Maiden Handicap 1400 metres
 
Impeacher – Raced wide.
 
To Boogie – Trainer A Malliff was questioned regarding alleged comments made to Jockey A Sewell in the parade yard after he had unsaddled his runner.
Mr. Malliff advised he had instructed Jockey Sewell to take up a forward position and was comfortable with the gelding leading. He however expressed disappointment with the vigor shown by Jockey A Sewell over the final 400 metres. Stewards viewed the patrol film with both Jockey A Sewell and Trainer A Malliff and noted that To Boogie was under pressure approaching the home turn and failed to run on down the straight. In the Stewards opinion, Jockey A Sewell had fully tested To Boogie .
Trainer A Malliff was granted the benefit of the doubt as to whether he had used improper language towards Jockey A Sewell in the mounting yard after the race.
 
Echelon Magic was slow to begin and raced wide thereafter.

Zoomaratta had to eased off heels at the 400 metres to commence a forward move.
 
 
Race 7: TAB BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1000 metres
 
Haralben – Raced wide throughout.
 
Travers - Raced wide.
 
Strathcona – When questioned Jockey P Romeo advised that the gelding was in his opinion disappointing in todays race and after leading had struggled under the 60kg allocated weight. He further stated that Strathcona had overraced in the early and middle stages and in his opinion that the gelding is better suited on soft tracks. The explanation of Jockey P Romeo was noted.
 
Anniemariah- Raced wide throughout.
 
Sogni – Raced widethroughout.
 
She's Ablazing – Stood flat footed in the barriers losing considerable ground. Will be required to barrier trial before being permitted to race again.
 
Tiny Tiara – Jockey P Cullen was placed at a severe disadvantage due to the saddle shifting at the 550 metres.

Race 7 -  Finnicky was scratched by order of the Stewards on 9 December 2022 due to being under an existing race day bar.
 
Race 6. Que Cee Spade was a late scratching at 1.25 p.m. when Stewards were advised that the gelding was injured just prior to being loaded for transport to the track. A veterinary clearance will be required before the gelding can again race.
