Hughie Vuitton – Shifted in on jumping hampering MISHANI TWILIGHT. Raced greenly in the home straight. Mishani Twilight – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to not having started in an extended period of time and was passed fit to start. Hampered on jumping when HUGHIE VUITTON shifted in.Bethehorse – On return to scale jockey J. Murphy stated that the filly laid out throughout. Hung out rounding the home turn. Track upgraded to a Good 4 retrospective of the running of R1.Race 2: LADBROKES MAIDEN PLATE 1200 MAlontro – Slow to begin. Connections were advised that a warning would be issued regarding the geldings poor racing performance. Curry Legend – Lightly bumped with MAZZARATTI on jumping. Inclined to lay in over the concluding stages. Hello Newman – In the vicinity of the 250m, was disappointed when attempting to improve into a tight run between CURRY LEGEND and LUVIN’ OUR GRACE and as a result was obliged to shift to the outside of LUVIN’ OUR GRACE at the 150m to obtain clear running. Mazzaratti – Lightly bumped with CURRY LEGEND on jumping.Risked It – Raced wide throughout. Super Twenty Three – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to not having started in an extended period of time and was passed fit to start. Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages. Avid Diva – Began very awkwardly. Laide – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Heroic Knight – On return to scale jockey L. Tilley reported that the gelding felt disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.Race 3: QUEENSLAND TRUCKING ASSOCIATION BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1609 MTrodaire – Raced wide in the early and middle stages. When questioned regarding the riding tactics adopted today, jockey A. Butler stated due to the wide barrier he was of the opinion that the gelding would benefit from being ridden more positively. Trainer S. Royes confirmed the instructions and was reprimanded pursuant AR100(1)(a) in that he failed to notify the Stewards of a change in riding tactics. Yamamoto – Broke down at the 200m and failed to finish the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed significant injuries to the off foreleg. Acting on veterinary advice, the gelding was euthanised. A post-mortem blood sample was taken for analysis. Lanova – Began awkwardly. Shifted out hampering YAMAMOTO momentarily. Well Well Well – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. At approximately the 1200m, shifted out and raced wide for the remainder. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. Connections were advised that a warning would be issued regarding the mares poor racing performance. Race 4: FEED 2 GO CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1400 MVictory For Us – Bumped with HEADLANDER on jumping. In the vicinity of the 200m, was contacted and taken out by HEADLANDER. Lady Masquerade – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Disappointed for a run from the 350m until the 200m. In the vicinity of the 200m, improved onto the heels of GIVES ME CHILLS and was obliged to be restrained. As a result the mare began to over race and consequently shifted out, contacting HEADLANDER who was then taken out onto VICTORY FOR US. Mission House – Slow to begin. Headlander – Began awkwardly bumping VICTORY FOR US. In the vicinity of the 200m was contacted by LADY MASQUERADE who shifted out abruptly and as a result was taken out onto VICTORY FOR US. Kangerong Miss – Shifted in abruptly on jumping. Nuclear Girl – Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages. Lightheadedness – Slow to begin. Race 5: AQUIS BELLE OF THE BURDEKIN BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP (FILLIES & MARES) 1400 MDusky Damsel – Inconvenienced on jumping when MIRROR ILLUSION shifted out as WINNING SAGA shifted in simultaneously. Sillman – Held up for clear running from the 250m and as a result jockey N. Day was unable to fully test his mount to the line. Winning Saga – Shifted in on jumping. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have muscle soreness.Ahwahneechee – At the 150m was obliged to ease to avoid the heels of the riderless horse. Circularity – Inconvenienced by GAMBOA which shifted in on jumping. Gamboa – Shifted in on jumping inconveniencing CIRCULARITY. Bakuhatsu – Reared at the start, beginning awkwardly and as a result dislodged jockey A. Sewell who was subsequently examined by QAS Officers and was stood down from his remaining engagements. Jockey A. Sewell was advised that he would need to produce a medical clearance prior to his next riding engagements. Stewards permitted changes as per the race day summary. Baby Guinness – In the vicinity of the 350m, was obliged to race in restricted room after improving onto the heels of COCOBREW EXPRESS. Fodor – Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be sore in both shoulders.Sian Star – As jockey A. Sewell was indisposed, he was replaced by jockey M. A veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have fractured its near hind pastern. Acting on veterinary advice, the gelding was euthanised.
