RAIL – TRUE OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – D GriffithsStewards – J McIntosch C BewClerk of Scales – StewardsJudge – S NosworthyVeterinarian – Dr.D VieroStarter – J Cullen SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTNil GENERAL The following overweights were approved -: Race 2 – Vaporising – A Layt - +0.5kgRace 4 - Foreverede - A Layt - +0.5kgRace 5 – Rupert’s Boy – S Sheargold - +1.0kg Race 1: QTIS 3YEAR OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP 1000M CALM IS POWER – Overraced in the middle stages. Race 2: OPEN HANDICAP 1000M VAPORISING – Slow to begin. Race 3: BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1000M SNAP CHAT – Slow to begin. BOOMALINA – Raced on 4 November 2023. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Race 4: BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1200M FREDERICK THE DANE – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. MISTER OMEGA – Jockey G McDonnell was questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding. Jockey McDonnell reported that in the early stages of the event Mister Omega was struggling to hold a forward position and then failed to run on as expected. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Race 5: BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1609M OVERSEAS (NZ) – Slow to begin. CIAO BICKY – Overraced from the 1300 metres to the 700 metres. PRINCE AKEEM – Held up for clear running until the final 150 metres. RUPERT’S BOY – Jockey S Sheargold was declared and approved to ride at 1.0 kg overweight however was unable to make this weight. Jockey Sheargold was then approved to ride the gelding 2.0 kg overweight when no other rider was available and fined $200 under the terms of AR190.
