GENERAL
 
Riders Justin Huxtable and Chelsea Jokic did not attend todays meeting and were replaced as per the Race Day Summary.
 
Stewards approved the following overweight allowances at today’s meeting:
 
R1: PLUCKERCARN – Chris Whiteley + ½ kg (54.5kg)
R2: ENUFF STOP IT – Denicious Smith +1kg (55kg)
R2: OHMIKKIUSOFINE – Michael Murphy +1kg (55kg)
R4: SUPREME PRINCE – Nathan Day + ½ kg (56.5kg)
 
 
Race 1: AUSNORTH BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP         1609 M
 
TAVISTEEL (NZ) – lay out when taken into clear running near the 300 metres inconveniencing GOING NUCLEAR - Apprentice Gabrielle Semmens was reminded of her obligation to maintain her correct running when circumstances permit; withstood protest from 3rd placed GOING NUCLEAR.
GOING NUCLEAR – inconvenienced near the 300 metres when TAVISTEEL (NZ) lay out; protested against second placed dismissed
KELLERS SHELTER – began awkwardly.
OODLES – ran wide shortly after the start; travelled 3-wide in the early and middle stages.
PLUCKERCARN – lay on over the final 200 metres.
 
Race 2: TOWNSVILLE MATER EMERGENCY MAIDEN HANDICAP   1200 M
 
FIVELINEDITTY – crowded shortly after the start.
TYMON – brushed with OHMIKKIUSOFINE on jumping; Rider Scott Sheargold admitted a breach of AR131a (careless riding), with the particulars being that he permitted TYMON to shift ground inward when riding the gelding out near the 250 metres, with this resulting in ARTURETTA being taken inward into the running of LOVES AFFECTION which was checked. After consideration of penalty rider Sheargold’s licence to ride in races was suspended from the conclusion of racing today, up to and including racing on Saturday 2nd November 2024 (7- days).
FAITH OVER FEAR – shifted in shortly after the start crowding FIVELINEDITTY; held up rounding the final turn until near the 150 metres.
LOOMING ONE – bounded on jumping: held up rounding the final turn until near the 250 metres.
LOVES AFFECTION – over-raced through the middle stages; checked and lost ground passing the 250 metres.
DYNA POWER – began awkwardly.
ARTURETTA – travelled 3-wide without cover throughout; hampered near the 200 metres when crowded inward by TYMON which shifted in.
ENUFF STOP IT – began awkwardly.
OHMIKKIUSOFINE – brushed with TYMON on jumping away.
 
Race 3: CRANBROOK MEDICAL HANDICAP         1200 M
 
MISS SEATTLE – hampered at the start then buffeted for a distance.
YOUR TOO GOOD – over-raced in the early stages.
VADAMOS QUEEN (NZ) – denied a marginal run passing the 250 metres when SPIRIT MEISTER shifted in, thereafter was unable to be fully tested over remainder of the race.
HALLSIDE HAMMER – jumped in at the start hampering MISS SEATTLE.
SPIRIT MEISTER – shifted out on jumping; hung out throughout then inclined to race greenly in the final straight. Rider Nathan Day reported that he had recommended to connections that a tongue tie be applied to the gelding to attempt to remedy its hanging tendencies. A warning was placed on SPIRIT MEISTER’s racing manners.
DUSKY DAMSEL – raced keenly in the early and middle stages; travelled 3-wide throughout.
 
Race 4: MERCEDES-BENZ TOWNSVILLE BM55 HANDICAP         1300 M
 
ELLEVES – jumped awkwardly then severely hampered, losing ground.
AOLANI – held up rounding the final turn; angled wider passing the 200 metres and only obtained clear running inside the final 100 metres.
EXTRA FREE – slow to begin.
HIT SNOOZE – jumped out abruptly at the start severely hampering ELLEVES.
SUPREME PRINCE – over-raced when wide in the early stages.
RUGGED ROY – travelled wide throughout.
BOLD ZIP – slow to begin; raced keenly in the early stages.
CASCIA – raced greenly over the concluding stages.
ROYAL PROPHECY – changed ground passing the 200 metres to continue to improve.
NOSEY NEO – laid in over the final 100 metres.
 
Race 5: GREAT NORTHERN BREWING CO PALLARENDA STAKES TWO-YEARS-OLD MAIDEN PLATE      1000 M
 
BRAVOS CARLOS – lost contact in the middle stages and finished well back. C0-tariner Mr Trevor Rowe reported that the gelding would now be sent for a spell.
LOUIS AUGUSTE – rider reported that the gelding had hung out throughout.
NOSEY NEO – travelled wide with cover throughout.
SATISFIED MUGS – raced greenly throughout; over-raced in the middle stages.
TARONG – raced greenly when making the crossing near the 800 and shifted out into the running ROYAL PROPHECY which had to steady; travelled wide throughout.
TIMINCA – raced greenly in the early stages.
GOANNA STEP – jumped in abruptly at the start.
ROYAL PROPHECY – hampered and had to steady.
 
 
 
Race 6: LADBROKES OWN SPRING CLASS 6 PLATE      1000 M
 
RED BOOMSHAKALAKA – held up for a short distance rounding the final turn.
