Nosworthy (Cadet)Race 1: LADBROKES BLACKBOOK QTIS TWO-YEAR-OLD HANDICAP 1000 MMR OREO – Shifted out abruptly at the start inconveniencing MR SHEFFIELD. MR SHEFFIELD – Slow to begin and was then inconvenienced by MR OREO which shifted out. NEV – Slow to begin and was then hampered by MR SHEFFIELD which was forced outwards on jumping. SATISFIED MUGS – Shifted in near the 350 metres crowding NOSEY NEO. Jockey A. Buttler was advised to exercise more care. On returning to scale jockey A. Buttler reported his right knee made contact with the barrier gate on jumping causing a minor laceration. A. Buttler was examined by the QAS officers and cleared to fulfil his further engagements. NOSEY NEO – Momentarily crowded for room near the 350 metres. Race 2: XMAS RACEDAY NEXT FRIDAY 13 DECEMBER MAIDEN PLATE 1000 MFIVELINEDITTY – Slow to begin then bumped and tightened for room. MISCHIEVOUS GIRL – Shifted out at the start bumping FIVELINEDITTY. OUR FOLLY – Shifted out to obtain clear running near the 300 metres bumping with OHMIKKIUSOFINE. OHMIKKIUSOFINE – Bumped near the 300 metres. Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race. CLUCK – Slow to begin. Race 3: LADBROKES FORM GENIUS BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1609 M ZOUHOPE – Over-raced in the early and middle stages. LADY MASQUERADE – Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Held up and unable to obtain clearing running rounding the home turn and early part of the home straight. GOING NUCLEAR – Laid in leaving the 300 metres becoming awkward on heels and having to be corrected. BRAVE AGENDA – Shifted out under hard riding over the concluding stages. Race 4: GREAT NORTHERN BREWING CO MAIDEN PLATE 1400 MBINGHAMTON – Restrained when tightened for room leaving the 500 metres. At a subsequent inquiry apprentice rider M. Apel (BELMONT PARK) in the company of senior rider S. Sheargold was found guilty of a charge under the provisions of AR 131(a) in that leaving the 500 metres she permitted her mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear of BINGHAMPTON which had to be restrained and shifted in, resulting in MISHANI BURN being placed in restricted room and being steadied which then resulted in FIGHTING EDGE being restrained and having to shift wider. Ms Apel’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 10 days to commence midnight Saturday 7 December 2024 and to expire midnight Tuesday 17 December 2024. Ms Apel was advised of her appeal rights. Stewards deemed this incident to be in the low range and in considering penalty took into account Ms Apel’s status as an apprentice jockey’s, guilty plea and recent record regarding this rule. FIGHTING EDGE – Momentarily steadied to avoid heels leaving the 500 metres and shifted wider. BELMONT PARK – Shifted in under hard riding leaving the 500 metres placing runners to her inside in restricted room. Raced wide for the majority of the race. MISHANI BURN – Restrained when tightened for room leaving the 500 metres. Race 5: TANQUERY NO. TEN BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1200 MTYMON – Slow to begin. SUPER FAST – Slow into stride. Shifted in marginally near the 150 metres before being corrected. Raced wide for the majority of the race. HYDE PARK – Raced in restricted room, buffeted between runners and restrained near the 150 metres and shifted inwards bumping MAZZARATTI on the hindquarter and turning that runner outwards. SAVEE – Steadied when placed in restricted room near the 150 metres. MAZZARATTI – Over-raced in the early stages. Turned outwards when bumped on the hindquarter after shifting out slightly near 150 metres and tightening runners to its outside. Race 6: LADBROKES ODDS SURGE OPEN HANDICAP 1400 MMOENAVE – Slow to begin. BATTLE CRY – Slow into stride. SINGLE HONOR – Over-raced in the early stages. CRYSTAL CHIEF – Restrained off heels near the 650 metres. Race 7: MITAVITE CLASS 3 PLATE 1400 MREADY TO PARDON – Bumped and tightened between runners on jumping. SPECIALTIE – Shifted in at the start bumping READY TO PARDON. Bumped near the 250 metres. SHE'S REWARDING – Shifted out on jumping bumping with READY TO PARDON. OUTBACK STEP – Over-raced in the early stages. Bumped near the 250 metres and shifted out bumping SPECIALTIE. BRASCO – Shifted out near the 250 metres bumping OUTBACK STEP. Jockey A. Sewell was advised to show greater care. Race 8: SHRELLE DEVENEY - 2024 VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1000 MWIN AND TONIC – Began awkwardly resulting in jockey A. Buttler momentarily losing his offside iron. Raced wide for the majority. KIDSTON – Slow to begin. Held up and unable to improve from the 500 metres until leaving the 200 metres. TANTRUMS – Raced wide for the majority. WANDERLEI – Raced wide for the majority. MORE THAN YOU – A post-race veterinary examination revealed mare to have a poor post-race recovery. Connections advised stewards it would be their intention that MORE THAN YOU be retired from racing. Should circumstances change a veterinary clearance of fitness will be required prior to its next its next race or trial.
