BULLSEYE BANJO – lost contact in the early stages and finished well back. When questioned Apprentice Bella Youngberry stated that the gelding, which was having its first race start, had resented the kickback and in consequence had failed to let down. Given all relevant considerations no further action was required.
MARREW FANCY – travelled wide throughout; inclined to lay out from the 400 metres.
MARKERINK – got back in the early stages and finished well back. When questioned rider Corey Bayliss reported that after beginning only fairly the gelding had then become uncomfortable in the kick back, and had failed to come onto the bridle at any stage. Rider Bayliss’s explanation was noted.

ASTRA WALLY – lay in from the 500 metres: ducked in abruptly passing the 150 metres and had to be straightened.

DEEP SILENCE – hampered near the 300 metres and lost momentum.
FAIRYBOWER FLYER – underwent a veterinary examination and was passed fit to run after competing at Mackay meeting on Tuesday 17th September 2024. Crowded near the 800 metres and had to steady.
