18/07/03: Stewards continued the inquiry into the reason that J Warrington was dislodged from OUR THUNDER GIRL approaching the 800m in the 3-Y-O maiden over 1200m at the Toowoomba meeting on 12/07/03. After taking evidence from J Warrington, L Roberts (LILLY AN’ LYLA) and viewing of the patrol film, it was establish that approaching the 800m LILLY AN’ LYLA, which was pulling hard shifted out to avoid the heels of SOVEREIGN SMILE, in doing so LILLY AN’ LYLA clipped the heels of PICCOLA ANGELINA, blundered and shifted out coming into heavy contact with OUR THUNDER GIRL, which blundered, dislodging J Warrington. Stewards are of the opinion that the incident was accidental and no rider was at fault.
