RACE 1: CLUB QHP MAIDEN PLATE - 1300M.
SUR LE BLOND and CARRY THE FAIR were both slow to begin.
DRUNKEN JOKER jumped in at the start.
Leaving the 1000m, SUR LE BLOND, which was racing keenly, improved to the inside of HOBEAU were there was insufficient room and was forced to ease.
ADVANTAGE PLUS shifted in leaving the 800m causing SUR LE BLOND to be eased from that geldings heels.
Time off: 1.37 PM.
RACE 2: CAFÉ RITAZZA ENTIRES & GELDINGS MAIDEN H'CAP - 900M.
PRIDE 'N' PROUD which was injured enroute to the track, was inspected by the clubs vet and was subsequently declared a late scratching at 1:08pm.
BATANGAS was slow to begin.
CHECK THAT OUT jumped awkwardly losing ground.
RAJAH RAUTAI slow to begin.
DOUBLE DECKER (NZ) made contact with the rail approaching the 500m and again leaving the 400m.
Leaving the 400m, RATE OF KNOTS shifted in hampering ENOUGH ROPE.
CHECK THAT OUT made the home turn wide.
Following this event the track was upgraded to fast.

RACE 3: HARTMANN FINANCIAL SOLUTIONS FILLIES & MARES MAIDEN H'CAP - 900M.
As P Moodie was to be over weight he was subsequently replaced as the rider of FLOOR BOARDS
QUIPPER, which reared high in the barriers was momentarily cast with the near fore over the partician.
WIND TALKER, which broke through the barriers prior to the start being affected was quickly restrained and took its' place in the field.
HOLOGRAPHIC jumped in at the start.
BAR QUEEN jumped out at the start taking FLOOR BOARDS out onto WINDTALKER.
LITTLE CROWN was slow to begin.
BLU'S DOLL hung in during the early stages.
Approaching the 550m, INDRIS shifted in hampering BAR QUEEN, which was forced to ease and shift out as a result hampering WIND TALKER. S Katsidis the rider of INDRIS was reminded of his obligations when shifting ground.
Leaving the 550m, HOLOGRAPHIC, which was inclined to hang in, shifted in hampering PEDRO'S DOLL
QUIPPER was momentarily held up for clear running making the home turn.
Time off: 2.49 PM.
RACE 4: BARRY ATKINS SOLICITORS CLASS 4 H'CAP - 900M.
CROWN SILVER was slow to begin.
FIERY FLAME shifted out at the start makin heavy contact with NICEOSS, which was hampered out onto PEDAL HAPPY.
NICEOSS raced wide from the 550m.
MIAMI DRIVE shifted in over the concluding stages making minor contact with NICEOSS.
Time off: 3.22 PM.
RACE 5: TOOWOOMBA CHRONICLE CLASS 2 H'CAP - 1300M.
CHIEFODEON, MAST and ENGLISH TYCOON were all slow to begin.
DASHA CHARIOT jumped out at the start.
Approaching 800m, ENGLISH TYCOON improved to the inside of CHIEFODEON were there was insufficient room and was forced to ease.
Approaching the 350m, ENGLISH TYCOON which was racing in restricted room between CHIEFODEON, which shifted out and FEZ NOVA, which shifted in, was forced to ease.
When questioned regarding the performance of MAST apprentice D Ballard reported that in the early stages of the event the gelding was reluctant to stretch out despite being ridden along and was only just able to stay in contact with the main group. Apprentice Ballards' explanation was noted.
FEZ NOZA pulled up lame in the near fore. Veterinary certificate is required prior to the geldings next start.
Time off: 4.00 PM.
RACE 6: QLD. HOT PROPERTY H'CAP - 1600M.
Both OUR SIAM and BARHILL were slow to begin.
Approaching 1400m, SON OF ROSI was steadied when crowded for room by MIDNIGHT DEAL, which was forced in by SILVERTHORNE.
RAGNAR was forced to race wide throughout.
OUR SIAM returned to scale lame in the near fore. Veterinary certificate is required prior to the mares next start.
Time off: 4.42 PM.
RACE 7: THE GOOD GUYS CLASS 1 H'CAP - 1600M.
RAJA PRINCE and LORD CLINTON, which lost ground, were tightened for room between JOYCE, which jumped in and CRAIGLEA DANCER, which jumped out.
SILVANUS was slow to begin.
HEADPHONE (NZ) raced wide throughout.
LORD CLINTON raced wide from the 800m.
RISING SUCCESS was momentarily held up for clear running making the home turn.
When questioned why he was restraining his mount going down the hill, Jockey D Rewald (LORD CLINTON) stated that he was advised to ride his mount back. He also stated that the gelding has a tendency to pull hard and is very reluctant to come back under you and he did not want to race right up onto the heels of the horse in front of him for that reason, explanation noted.
Time off: 4.40 PM.
RACE 8: GJ GARDINER HOMES CLASS 1 H'CAP - 1100M.
Following a heavy storm the starting time for this event was ammended to 6:17pm.
Due to a portion of the lights in the straight being out due to a lightning strike the last race was abandoned at 6:15pm.
Time off: 6.17 PM.
ALL WINNERS WERE SWABBED.
