RACE 1: ALTITUDE MOTEL CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1100M
 
SAID WRITTEN – On returning to scale jockey Beau Appo reported that when the pace of the race quickened his mount failed to sprint as well as he had anticipated and in his opinion would be better suited in races over greater distance than today’s event.
 
EXPRESSAMOSA – Raced wide throughout and compounded badly in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the off hind leg. Trainers B and D Healey were advised that the horse would require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
 
MAN OVERBOARD – Began awkwardly.
 
SEQUASI – Slow to begin.
 
BONSEA – Late scratching at 1:10 pm due to trainer’s personal circumstances.
 
RACE 2: CHARLTON TYRE SERVICE CLASS 3 H'CAP – 1300M
 
THAT’S MA BOY – Kicked by another runner during the preliminary, examined by the veterinary surgeon upon arrival at the barriers and passed fit to start. Raced ungenerously with its head in the air whilst being restrained in the early stages of the event.
 
AGAPANTHA – Laid in in the home straight. Steadied near the 100m to avoid the heels of PINBALL DAWN, which shifted in when not fully clear. Apprentice B. Panya, the rider of PINBALL DAWN, was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. On returning to scale apprentice A. Sewell could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance of the gelding, which he stated failed to sprint when asked to improve from the 500m.
 
TRIPLE JEOPARDY – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
MINKUS – Began awkwardly.
 
SHE’S A KICKER – Steadied approaching the finish line to avoid the heels of PINBALL DAWN, which shifted out. Apprentice B. Panya, the rider of PINBALL DAWN, was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
RACE 3: VANDERFIELD HINO MAIDEN PLATE – 1200M
 
CASUAL DUDE – Slow to begin.
 
HE’LL BE RIGHT – Raced three wide throughout. On returning to scale apprentice B. Panya reported that her mount had a tendency to hang in for the majority of the event.
 
SEE BLING – Slow to begin.
 
WAITING GAME – Laid out during the middle stages of the event.
 
BLACK KULWADEE – Near the 450m raced in restricted room for a short distance to the inside of HE’LL BE RIGHT, which shifted in whilst hanging in despite the efforts of its rider.
 
GREENBANK ROAD – Began awkwardly.
 
WESTBROOK WARRIOR – Near the 450m was tightened for room and lost ground to the outside of HE’LL BE RIGHT, which shifted out after initially hanging in. Approaching the 400m was placed in restricted room to the outside of HE’LL BE RIGHT, which shifted out.
 
DAKOTA ROCKS – Shifted a hind plate without incident prior to the race and required farrier attention. A public announcement was made to this effect. Held up from the 500m and was then disappointed for a run passing the 400m before eventually obtaining clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
 
Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to GOOD 3.
 
RACE 4: TOOWOOMBA PORTABLE TOILETS QTIS 3YO MAIDEN PLATE – 1050M
 
BRAIN ON FIRE – Raced wide throughout.
 
PARELEMA – Began awkwardly.
 
BONSHO – Steadied to avoid heels shortly after the start.
 
MANTRACKEN – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
MERINDONNA – Raced in restricted room for some distance passing the 800m to the inside of BONSHO, which shifted in when not fully clear. S. Apthorpe, the rider of BONSHO, was advised to exercise more care.
 
READY SEQ GO – Raced wide throughout.
 
RED HOT SECRET – Steadied to avoid heels shortly after the start.
 
SCRIPTS – Raced in restricted room for some distance passing the 800m.
 
RACE 5: QUEENSLAND ELECTRICAL SOLUTIONS RATINGS BAND 0-65 H'CAP – 1625M
 
WOW FACTOR – Connections advised that the horse would be ridden more forward if circumstances permit. The horse settled in a midfield position.
 
ENDLESS PUZZLE – Raced wide from the 800m.
 
MINE WITH LIME – Slow to begin.
 
BAY HERO – Apprentice J. Brand was reprimanded for using the whip on 8 occasions prior to the 100m.
 
RACE 6: STRATHAYR BENCHMARK 75 H'CAP – 1200M
 
REPO ZEST – Raced three wide without cover.
