Race 2
Trainer Eric Hayes advised Stewards that in the days following its poor performance SONADOR FIRE required chiropractic treatment.
 
Race 6
Trainer T. Sears advised Stewards that in subsequent days after racing blood results of NATIONAL TRAIL showed no abnormalities.. He also indicated he will apply a tongue tie to the gelding at its next start.
 
Race 1: GAINSBOROUGH LODGE COLTS, GELDINGS & ENTIRES BENCHMARK 60 HHCAP 1000M
 
The declaration of correct weight was delayed to enable Stewards to view the photo finish print for third.. After viewing the print, Stewards were satisfied with the Judgees semaphored numbers.
 
CORRYVRECKAN Steadied from heels shortly after the start.. Laid in for the majority of the home straight.
 
WRITTENINTHERAIN Steadied from heels and brushed the running rail when tightened for room by MONTE LAGO, which was taken in by CORRYVRECKAN (Apprentice H. English) near the 800m.. Apprentice English was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.. Jockey S. Sweeney dropped her whip near the 50m.
 
GO GET SUM Began awkwardly.
 
DONNTCRYARGENTINA Slow to begin.. Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority.
 
WAR FRONT Slow to begin.
 
Race 2: CRACKER PRINT & PAPER CLASS 1 HHCAP 1200M
 
FINE EYES was declared a late scratching at 7.55am for veterinary reasons.
 
FAST VISION Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
RED CHILL Began very awkwardly and lost ground.. Momentarily steadied from heels near the 1000m.
 
COOL DRAFTS Accidentally struck across the nose by the whip of another rider near the 150m.
 
UNIQUE MAGIC - Jockey B. Appo was reprimanded for using his whip in consecutive strides prior to the 100m.
 
NAUTICAL LAD Held up from the 400m to a point approaching the 150m, and was then shifted out to obtain clear running.
 
Race 3: SHANNON SIGN COMPANY BENCHMARK 62 HHCAP 1850M
 
BIG THUNDER Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
ROCK NN RHUMBA Raced in restricted room in the home straight.. When questioned by Stewards, jockey K. Yoshida reported that the horse travelled comfortably throughout however, in his opinion, the gelding would be better suited to a 1600m race..
 
AKUA Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
MOSS GO NOW Raced 3 wide without cover leaving the 1000m.
 
Race 4: BRISBANE RIVERVIEW HOTEL MAIDEN PLATE 1300M
 
GRAN SABANA Raced keenly on heels near the 550m.
 
MISTER CALYPSO Slow to begin.
 
DIVINE ACTION On return to scale, Apprentice L. Dodds reported that his mount raced greenly throughout the event.
 
MAGIC KITTY Steadied from heels for a short distance leaving the 900m.
 
RED FLYER Began awkwardly, and was then tightened for room and lost ground.. Steadied from heels at the 800m.
 
Race 5: TOOWOOMBA PORTABLE TOILETS CLASS 5 HHCAP 1200M
 
SPIRIT OF KIOWA Slow to begin.
 
TRIPLE JEOPARDY Tightened for room when ROCKABELLA BOY (B. Appo) shifted out when insufficiently clear leaving the 400m. Jockey B. Appo was reprimanded as a result of this incident.
 
Race 6: PRYDEES EASIFEED CLASS 3 PLATE 1300M
 
JORJAAS JET Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
HAVEN ANGEL Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority.
 
PINBALL DAWN Checked from heels and lost ground approaching the 700m.
 
Race 7: M&K CONSTRUCTION GROUP FILLIES & MARES BENCHMARK 60 HHCAP 1000M
 
WHATEVER MISS Laid out in the home straight.
 
SHEES SO MEAN Began awkwardly.
 
HIDDEN SEQUEL Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the event.
