ZIP TO THE MOON Raced 3 wide throughout.. On return to scale, jockey B. Derbyshire reported that the gelding was inclined to lay in for the majority of the home straight..
 
ORLEANS Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the event.
 
MISHANI SHIRAZ Raced in restricted room from a point approaching the 400m until entering the home straight.. The gelding was again placed in restricted room, and had to be steadied, when JOHNRO (Apprentice M. Schrapel) shifted in near the 100m.. Apprentice M. Schrapel was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances in the future.. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare failed to reveal any significant findings.
 
SELFIE Tightened for room and steadied when ORLEANS shifted in when insufficiently clear passing the 100m.. Apprentice H. Phillips, the rider of ORLEANS, subsequently pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR. 137(a) in that at a point she permitted her mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of another runner.. Apprentice Phillipps licence to ride in races was suspended for 8 days, to commence at midnight on Saturday 9 September 2017, and expire at midnight on Sunday 17 September 2017.. In determining penalty, Stewards took into consideration Apprentice Phillipps guilty plea, and her recent good record in relation to this rule.

WILL TO RULE Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the event.
 
ALL APPLES - Tightened for room shortly after the start.
 
SOPHIAAS CHARM Tightened for room shortly after the start.
 
EMBER GLOW Began awkwardly.
 
Race 3: BRIESE LAWYERS RATINGS BAND 0 60 HHCAP 2000M
 
BARBERANCE Held up from the 150m, and was unable to be fully tested for the remainder of the event.
 
KUTTAMURRA AL Raced 3 wide from the early stages until the 1400m.
 
MOSS GO NOW Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority.
 
BAY RAIDER Slow to begin.
 
VEGAS RULER On return to scale, Apprentice N. Keal reported that, in his opinion, the gelding felt lame in the near fore leg.. Trainer R. Hilton could offer no tangible explanation for the disappointing performance tonight, however he undertook to advise Stewards should anything come to light in the coming days regarding the horsees post-race recovery.
 
GULLY GOSH Began awkwardly.
 
THEREES NEMO Bumped at the start.
 
Race 4: MORGANNS PLUMBING CLASS 3 PLATE 870M
 
DUBLE MEANING was declared a late scratching at 8.11am.. Trainer B. Hudson was fined $100 for failing to scratch the horse by the prescribed time..
 
DELIRIUM Hung out rounding the home turn and took no competitive part in the remainder of the event.. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.. Stable representative, Mr. Aidan St. Vincent, was advised that a warning will be placed on the horsees racing manners.. 
 
ANXPENSE Improved onto heels and had to be steadied near the 500m.
 
Race 5: WILSONTON MEATS MAIDEN HHCAP 1050M
 
LAST ROUND was declared a late scratching at 8.11am.. Trainer B. Hudson was fined $200 for failing to scratch the horse by the prescribed time.. In determining penalty, Stewards noted that the late scratching had cost another runner a place in the field.
 
CAPTAIN CRUMPET Slow to begin.
 
HARMONISING Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event.
 
ZAP Improved onto heels and had to be steadied near the 600m.
 
WEERE BLESSED Hung out for the majority of the event.. Trainer J. Gregory was advised that the mare must perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial before being permitted to race again.. Trainer J. Gregory was fined $100 for failing to produce the horsees Thoroughbred Identification Card.
 
HAIKUUS WAY Bumped at the start.. Bumped by another runner approaching the 300m.
 
WILMA Hung out rounding the home turn.
 
PET DRAGON Trainer J. Hearne was fined $100 for failing to produce the horsees Thoroughbred Identification Card.
 
Race 6: THINK OFFICE TECHNOLOGY TOOWOOMBA CLASS 1 PLATE 1625M
 
ELUSIVE ELEMENT Slow to begin.
 
DIVAJEU Steadied from heels near the 1300m.. Race 3 wide without cover for the majority of the event.. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
Jockey M. Pegus became ill following his ride in Race 6 and, after being assessed by Queensland Ambulance Officers, was stood down for the remainder of the meeting.
 
Race 7: TOOWOOMBA HOSPICE ASSOC INC. QTIS 3YO MAIDEN HHCAP

The declaration of correct weight was delayed slightly to allow Apprentice M.. Schrapel to view the photo-finish print for 2nd. After viewing the print, he was satisfied with the Judgees semaphored numbers.
 
SIDEREUS DISCORD Raced in restricted room when improving onto the heels of another runner approaching the 500m.
 
FAKE NEWS As Jockey M. Pegus was indisposed due to illness, N. Tomizawa was substituted as rider.
 
LITTLE MOLLY Slow to muster early speed.. Raced 3 wide for the majority of the event.
 
REAL MONTE Trainer S. Kendrick was fined $100 for failing to produce the horsees Thoroughbred Identification Card.
 
TALIQUA On return to scale, jockey E. Ljung reported that her mount had a tendency to lay out at various stages throughout the event.. Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the event..
