SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
From Warwick Saturday 14.10.2017:
Stewards questioned Trainer J. Zielke in relation to the seemingly improved performance of TAPTHETILL in Race 4. Mr. Zielke advised that the horse was starting first up from a spell today and had worked well in preparation for todays event. Mr. Zielke also advised that he had added a visor to the horses gear for todays event, which he felt was to the horses benefit.. Stewards noted the explanation.
GENERAL
The track was downgraded to a Heavy 8 at 2.30pm.
Race 1: RAMS HOME LOANS TOOWOOMBA CLASS 1 HCAP 1050M
CHARLIEES DUST Began awkwardly.. Held up and unable to improve rounding the home turn until a point approaching the 200m.
MISHANI SEEKA Stewards accepted the explanation provided by Trainer B. Currie regarding the late declaration of M. Pegus as rider.
SAY CAVALLO Raced wide throughout.
TRAINERRS POCKET Raced wide throughout.
Race 2: TOOWOOMBA OUTDOOR POWER PRODUCTS CLASS 2 HCAP 1300M
The declaration of correct weight was delayed to enable Stewards to view the photo finish print
of the dead-heating 2nd placegetters. After viewing the print, Stewards were satisfied with the Judgees semaphored numbers.
FAR NORTH Placed in restricted room for a short distance leaving the 800m, and was eased when racing to the inside of BRASSY BELLE which was taken in slightly by SHEAR VOGUE (Apprentice B. Nothdurft). Apprentice B. Nothdurft was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances in the future.
OVER THE VENTURE Raced 3 wide for the majority. On return to scale, Apprentice R. Goldsbury reported that the mare failed to travel strongly on the bit at any stage of the event, and failed to respond when placed under pressure.
HIGH CALL As Apprentice M. Murphy had engagements at the Doomben meeting today and was unable to fulfil his engagement, Apprentice N. Keal was substituted as rider.
SHEAR VOGUE Raced 3 wide for the majority.
Race 3: TUFF BULLBARS AUSTRALIA BENCHMARK 75 HCAP 1050M
KLAMMER Slow into stride.. On return to scale, Apprentice H. English advised that the gelding did not travel comfortably at any stage during the event, which she contributed to the prevailing track conditions.
SIR DONALD Raced ungenerously whilst being restrained in the early stages. Stewards questioned Apprentice R. Goldsbury in relation to the disappointing performance. Apprentice Goldsbury advised that, after beginning only fairly, she elected in the early stages to obtain a position one out, one back trailing PUFFS GIRL. Apprentice Goldsbury added that from the 800m the gelding came off the bit and did not travel strongly at any stage from this point. She added that her mount also had a tendency to hang out rounding the home turn and, in her opinion, proved disappointing. Mr. Nolan will be interviewed at a later date in relation to the horses performance and its post-race recovery. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. A swab sample was also taken from the gelding.
Race 4: SIMON HOME TIMBER & HARDWARE FILLES AND MARES MAIDEN PLATE 1200M
DLEEAJET Raced wide for the majority of the event.

LILLANLIV On return to scale, jockey R. Williams reported that her mount commenced to yield ground at the 600m and, for that reason, she desisted from riding her mount out from the 450m and as a result tailed off.. Stewards noted jockey Williams comments, however they advised that she is expected to place her mounts under pressure for longer than she did on this occasion.
MISHANI LA SCALA On return to scale, Apprentice B. Nothdurft could offer no tangible explanation for the mares seemingly disappointing performance tonight. Trainer B. Currie expressed some disappointment with the performance tonight, however he advised that, in his opinion, the horse may not have been suited to the step up in distance to 1200m, and indicated that he will now look to drop the mare back in distance before its next start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare had shifted a plate on the off hind leg, however no abnormalities were detected. A swab sample was also taken from the mare.
Race 5: COLLIERS INTERNATIONAL TOOWOOMBA COLTS, GELDINGS & ENTIRES MAIDEN PLATE 1200M

The gelding was found to have tied up following the event.
