A post-race veterinary examination revealed a small laceration to the gelding’s near fore leg, and some muscle soreness on its offside. Trainer’s Representative L. Plumb advised that the gelding travelled comfortably until it commenced to weaken near the 600m, and proved disappointing over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be exhibiting an abnormal respiratory noise. The Trainer’s Representative was advised that the gelding will require a veterinary clearance, including the results of an endoscopic examination, prior to its next race start. Stewards will follow-up with Trainer G. Hickman in the coming days regarding the horse’s post-race recovery.

Following the event, Stewards ordered that all monies invested on GLASSHOUSE LADY be refunded, with the following deductions to apply to successful wagers:

18 cents in the dollar for the win #3

13 cents in the dollar for 2nd place #1
