Race 1: FOCUS HR Class 2 Handicap 1300 metres
 
FIGHTING COMMANDO - Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
MAYA BAY - Began awkwardly.
 
UNIQUE JOURNEY - Raced 3 wide with cover throughout.
 
MIRACLESFROMHEAVEN - Steadied to avoid heals shortly after the start. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
VINTAGE BOROSSA - Trainer L Hatch was fined $100 for failing to notify a rider by the prescribed time. Held up for a short distance near the 500m.
 
LONADO - Near the 800m momentarily raced in restricted room.
 
JABALIC - Held up and unable to improve from the 500m until entering the home straight.
 
ZANAZOU - Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground.

 
Race 2: NEIL MANSELL GROUP BENCHMARK 68 Handicap 1100 metres
 
BEAU ARROW- Tightened for room shortly after the start.
 
JOCHBERG– Raced three wide with cover for the majority.
 
SPINNING SPIRIT – Raced three wide with cover for the majority. Checked to avoid heels approaching the 900m. At a subsequent inquiry Apprentice M Kennedy the rider of DANCING ANGEL pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the terms of AR 131(a) in that as the rider of that mare she permitted her mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of SPINNING SPIRIT resulting in that runner being checked to avoid heels. Apprentice Kennedy’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 8 days to commence at midnight 15 May 2021 and to expire midnight 23 May 2021.
 
MOSCINI – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
DANCING ANGEL – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
KIRRA LASS – On returning to scale Apprentice Patis advised the filly weakened badly in the home straight and did not feel entirely comfortable in its action. Post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality.
 
THUMBS UP - Stood flat footed at the start and lost ground.
 
MAROKAWA – Began awkwardly. Jockey J Murphy was reprimanded for using his whip excessively during the event that being on 16 occasions.
 
ARROW EXPRESS – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
PRINCESS KAYO (NZ)  Began awkwardly and was then steadied from heels shortly after the start.
 
REST OF THE WORLD – Bumped on jumping.
 
Race 3: KENNARDS HIRE BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1100 metres
 
 
B'DAISY – Raced four wide with cover for the majority.
 
ANNABETH – Held up approaching and rounding the home turn.
 
BLUEY'S READY – Raced three wide with cover for the majority.
 
FANTASAY – Near the 800m was momentarily tightened for room when STAZZANA hung out despite the efforts of its rider.
 
HERECUM DA DRUMS – Raced three wide with cover for the majority.
 
STAZZANA – Near the 800m raced with its head in the air whilst hanging out.
 
PRIMMISCUOUS – Approaching the 800m was tightened for room and eased by ANNABETH which was taken in by IN HER ZONE (B Pengelly). Jockey Pengelly the rider of IN HER ZONE was reprimanded as a result of this incident.
 
PETITE ELLE – Raced four wide without cover for the majority.
 
MISS MAKEPEACE – Raced three wide without cover throughout.  
 
Race 4: MNP SECURITY PROVINCIAL STAYERS - HEAT - BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 2150 metres
 
TAKEITTOTHELIMIT – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
LOUIE LA'JOY – Near the 600m raced in restricted room and lost ground.
 
INCENTIVISE – Bumped on jumping.
 
ISABELLA'S SPRING – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
FRASCATI MISS (NZ)  – Post race veterinary examination of the mare which tailed off failed to reveal any abnormalities. As trainer M Nolan was absent from tonight’s meeting stewards will contact him in the days following tonight’s meeting in relation to the mares performance.
 
BOLD DELAGO – Slow into stride. Near the 500m was disappointed for run and lost ground. Laid in during the middle stages.
 
Race 5: HARVEY NORMAN COMMERCIAL TOOWOOMBA Class 1 Handicap 1050 metres
 
 
MR STACK – Raced three wide without cover for the majority. Laid in in the home straight and as a consequence steadied from heels near the 250m and proved difficult to ride out in the home straight.
 
GO FLO – As the filly had not raced in a period exceeding 12 months it was examined by the veterinary surgeon prior to the event and passed fit to start.
 
BLUE HARMONY - Tightened for room at the start and lost ground and again near the 900m. Disappointed for a run approaching the 400m and as a consequence became held up for some distance.
 
STATEMENT OF FAITH – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Near the 100m was steadied when awkwardly placed at heels.
 
URALBA – Raced three wide with cover for the majority.
 
JONDY ROCKET - Tightened for room at the start and lost ground.
 
IN AGREEMENT – Jockey C Eaton reported the gelding hung throughout.
 
SHEINDLIN - Tightened for room at the start and lost ground.
 
 
Race 6: WHOLESALE HORSEWEAR HOUSE Class 2 Handicap 1625 metres
 
MAHUSSEY– Slow to begin and as a consequence settled further back in the field than anticipated.
 
KINGS ROW – Slow to begin. Raced three wide without cover for the majority.
 
POINT THE WAGON– Jockey C Eaton was fined $400 for using her whip on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m.
 
PUNCTUALITY– Jockey S Cormack could offer no explanation in relation to the below market expectation performance. A post race Veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
MODULO – After being caught wide in the early stages was allowed to stride forward by its rider to a position outside the leader near the 1300m.
 
 
Race 7: JOE WAGNER GROUP QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1000 metre
 
TAKE THE LEAD– Rider dropped his whip accidently at the 200m. Near the 850m was checked to avoid heels when runners either side shifted ground marginally.
 
GOLDEN EMBERS – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground.
 
MELMAH – Bumped heavily on jumping and was then tightened shortly after the start.
 
MISERY MISS – Tightened for room shortly after the start. Raced wide during early and middle stages. Near the 850m raced in restricted room.
 
PETA CALADA– Bumped heavily at the start and became unbalanced.  Raced wide with cover throughout.
 
OUTBACK HEIGHTS – Tightened for room shortly after the start and as a result clipped heels and blundered. Raced wide with cover throughout.
 
IN HAVANA– Tightened for room at the start. Raced wide with cover throughout. Held up in the early stages of the home straight. Near the 850m was steadied and shifted out marginally when GLASSATA ROSA shifted in when not completely clear.
 
CROWN LAW – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 8: HIGHFIELDS BUILDER Maiden Handicap 1625 metres
 
GIBBED – Began awkwardly. Disappointed for a run leaving the 400m. Disappointed for a run near the 250m before being shifted to the inside to secure clear running.
 
DOUBLES CHOICE– Jockey T Wolfgram could offer no explanation for the below market expectation for the gelding. Post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
WILSON WON– Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
CHICA ROSE – Raced in restricted room for a considerable distance shortly after the start. Jockey S Lacy was fined $500 for using her whip on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m.
 
AVESUM PIXIE DUST– Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground and as a result settled further back than anticipated.
 
SHORTAZ – Raced wide throughout.
 
EVRYNOW'N'THEN – After being slow to begin was further hampered when forced wider by another runner.
