MISS MCKINLEY - Jockey G Cartwright could offer no explanation for the below market expectation performance of the filly, which she advised weakened from the 400m.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Co-Trainer Ms M Sears advised Stewards that in light of tonight’s performance she would have blood samples taken from the filly and should any abnormalities be present, she would report accordingly to Stewards.

PATRICK'S ME MATE - Slow to begin.

NOBLE ARTIST - Over raced during the early and middle stages.  Near the 800m was tightened for room and eased.  At a subsequent inquiry, jockey B Newport, the rider of KINGS ROW, was found guilty to a charge of careless riding under the terms of AR131(a), in that as the rider of that gelding, he permitted his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of NOBLE ARTIST which was tightened for room, eased and lost ground. Jockey B Newport’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 9 days to commence at midnight 12 June 2021 and to expire at midnight 21 June 2021.
