Woodham Race 1: RACING NATION SATURDAY MORNINGS ON POWER FM Class 3 Plate 1200 metres Stewards accepted the explanation’s tendered by Trainer’s M Currie, J Dann and K Kemp in relation to the late declaration of riders for their respective runners in this event. The start of this event was delayed due to a number of runners being reluctant to proceed to the barriers. BEL BEAU – Began awkwardly. ISAREADY – Slow to begin. PERSIAN KING – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn. MOTOMISS – Slow to begin. Raced wide without cover. Jockey L Tarrant reported that despite racing wide his mount raced flat today and he was disappointed with the mares finishing effort. Trainer L Hatch confirmed his disappointment in the performance and advised stewards that the mare will now be sent for a short spell. Post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. ZAITEKI – Began awkwardly. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and had difficulty securing clear running over the final 100m. MISS MAKEPEACE – Rider J Murphy reported that his mount hung out throughout the event. SHE'S CROWNED – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Race 2: NEIL MANSELL GROUP BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 870 metres PRINCE PLANET – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. NEW ALLIANCE – K Yoshida reported that his mount hung out rounding the home turn. LILLI LIGHTS OUT – Began awkwardly and raced wide throughout. Race 3: MITAVITE RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap 1625 metres SUFFICE – Trainer P Sexton was fined $100 for failing to produce the thoroughbred I.D card for the gelding. Raced wide throughout. GOT THE LOT – A Fancourt, rider of BONSEA, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that near the 1500m she allowed her mount to shift in when not clear of SANDY TOES, forcing that horse in onto GOT THE LOT, causing that horse to be checked. Jockey Fancourt’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 10 days to commence midnight 20 June, 2021 and to conclude 30 June, 2021. On a number of occasions between the 1200m and the 900m was obliged to race in restricted room to the inside of MODERN FAMILY, before being steadied near the 900m, C Eaton the rider of MODERN FAMILY was reprimanded for this incident. EGO DANCER – Raced in restricted room and steadied near the 1500m. NORTHERN DRAGON – Slow to begin. Over-raced during the early stages when obliged to steady from heels. Improved onto the heels of a tiring runner and was eased near the 500m. MODERN FAMILY – Laid in when rounding the home turn and was steadied from heels near the 250m. TACTICAL MANUEVER – Slow to begin. BONSEA – 1500m. Steadied when momentarily placed in restricted room rounding the home turn. SANDY TOES – Forced to shift in and was steadied near the 1500m. Race 4: WIN LOCAL NEWS RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap 1625 metres GRATSIE – Slow to begin. Steadied from heels near the 400m. ABOVE THE SKY – Held up for clear running during the early stages of the home straight and inclined to lay in under pressure. LONADO – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn. Disappointed for a run approaching the 100m. BILL OF RIGHTS – Raced wide for the majority. MISS HOW LONG – Steadied when obliged to race in restricted room approaching the 100m. PLATINUM DEAL – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and had difficulty securing clear running during the early stages of the home straight before laying in under pressure. SHEINDLIN – Raced wide during the early stages. Race 5: TAYLOR BUILDING GROUP QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 870 metres TAKUNAI – Slow to begin. DINKLAGE – Bumped on jumping and shifted in. Raced greenly throughout. ANGEL GRACE – Slow to begin. Hampered and obliged to steady near the 800m before racing greenly throughout. MAHIGRANT – Tightened for room on jumping away and lost significant ground. MISS JEDI – Began awkwardly shifted in and bumped DINKLAGE. SHINY GIRL - Tightened for room on jumping away and lost significant ground. Raced greenly throughout. AQUA LADY – Stable representative L Kelly was questioned regarding the improved performance. He stated that at the horses only start the filly weakened badly on a heavy track and had then been sent for a spell. He added that during this preparation the filly had won a jump out and the stable had expected a forward showing in todays event. Bled from both nostrils for the 1st time and acting under the provisions of AR 79 stewards ordered that AQUA LADY be barred from racing for a period of 3 months and must also gallop 1000m in the presence of a steward prior to racing again. Race 6: SUBZERO AIRCONDITIONING COUNTRY HEIST BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1300 metres MIDNIGHT MATINEE – Raced wide from the 800m. MAC'S GAL – Raced wide throughout. MAC'S BOY – Post race vet examination found the horse to be suffering from the thumps. MOMENTUM GLORY – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Post race vet examination found no abnormalities. SHINING BLUE - Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Race 7: PLATINUM ROOFING Maiden Handicap 1300 metres TEVERINA – Declared a late scratching at 8:29pm when the filly refused to proceed to the barriers. On the declaration of correct weight stewards ordered that all monies invested on TEVERINA be refunded with the following deductions apply on all successful bets prior to 8:29pm: 1st SAVILE ROW less 4c in the dollar the win and less 11c in the dollar the place2nd DARCIE GIRL less 10c in the dollar the place3rd JIMMY NEUTRON less 4c in the dollar the place Trainer L Gore will be advised that the filly would be required to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to next racing. SINE CURVE – Declared a late scratching at 8:31pm when upon arrival at the barriers made contact with the tractor used to manoeuvre the barriers and subsequently being found to be lame in the off hind leg following a veterinary examination. On the declaration of correct weight stewards ordered that all monies invested on the mare be refunded with the following deductions apply on all successful bets placed between 8:29pm and 9:31pm: 1st SAVILE ROW less 3c in the dollar the win and less 8c in the dollar the place2nd DARCIE GIRL less 7c in the dollar the place3rd JIMMY NEUTRON less 3c in the dollar the place JIMMY NEUTRON – Slow to begin. FOREVER BEN – Over-raced during the early stages and raced wide without cover throughout. SAVILE ROW – When questioned regarding the improved performance Trainer W Nugent advised stewards that the stable has always had an opinion of the horses ability, however had been disappointed with the horses performances during last preparation and therefore sent the gelding for a spell. He further indicated that the horse has been working well leading into todays event and had expected a forward showing. KINGSFORD TIGER – Began awkwardly.
