RACE 1: FAREWELL AND THANK YOU RION QTIS THREE-YEARS-OLD BM65 HANDICAP 1210METRES
 
 
PERSAGA- Stewards accepted the explanation of Trainer C Smith in relation to the late declaration of A Sewell as the rider of the filly. Bumped on jumping.
 
HAMILTON HILL- Bumped on jumping. Steadied to avoid heels near the 1100m. Raced 3 wide without cover from the 750m when forced wider by another runner.
 
KIPCHOGE- Bumped on jumping. Raced 3 wide in the early stages before being forced 4 wide by another runner near the 750m. A post-race Veterinary examination of the gelding which weakened from the 600m revealed it to have a poor post-race recovery.   
 
OUTBACK HEIGHTS- App. M Kennedy could offer no explanation for the below market expectation performance of the filly other than it resented the kick back when racing in a rearward position during the event. A post-race Veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
COUNT THE COIN- Began awkwardly.
 
DANSANT- Laid out in the early stages of the home straight and then laid in over the concluding stages.
 
JENO- After being slow to begin was then hampered shortly after the start.
 
MISHANI CONMAN- Forced wider by another runner near the 250m.
 
 
RACE 2: STOCK HOTEL TOOWOOMBA CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1100METRES
 
URALBA- Trainer E Ropiha advised Stewards it was the intention for the mare to be
ridden further forward if circumstances permit. Ridden accordingly.
 
SHEINDLIN- Stewards acceded to a request from R Payne to ride the mare 1/2kg overweight.
 
DREAM POLICE- Slow into stride. App. A Jones was reminded of her obligations to ride her mounts out to the conclusion of the event.
 
SHAME JOB- Tightened for room at the start and lost ground.
 
VOODOO CROWN- Began awkwardly.
 
MY BOY DRAGON- Tightened for room at the start. Raced with its head in the air for a considerable distance in the middle stages whilst being restrained.
 
SAM'S A NATURAL- Raced wide without cover for the majority. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
REFLECTIVE- Buffeted between runners near the 700m. Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority.
 
 
Race 3: Harvey Norman Commercial Toowoomba BM70 Handicap 1100metres
 
THE HAND- Slow to begin. Steadied from heels shortly after the start. 
 
MY COUSIN BOSSY- Steadied from heels near the 900m. Steadied to avoid the heels of READY BABE (A Jones) rounding the home turn when that runner shifted out to secure clear running. App. A Jones was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
READY BABE- Held up approaching the home turn.
 
NO REFUND- Began awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority.
 
SIMPLY SO- Steadied for a considerable distance near 700m when awkwardly placed at heels.
 
 
Race 4: Mitavite Maiden Handicap 1210metres
 
STAR TWINKLE- Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
BEARHUG- Jumped in the air at the start and was then tightened shortly thereafter. Bumped shortly after the start becoming unbalanced and as a result shifted out abruptly. Raced 3 wide with cover for the majority. Bumped and forced wider near the 50m.
 
FAMUS FELLA- Bumped shortly after the start. Improved onto heels near the 800m and was steadied.  Bumped and forced wider near the 50m when GLOBAL SENSATION laid out after being struck with the whip despite the efforts of its rider. Clipped heels on the finish line when GLOBAL SENSATION shifted out marginally. Jockey Tilley the rider of GLOBAL SENSATION was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
YUPPIE- Began awkwardly. Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority. Forced wider near the 50m when commencing to weaken by another runner. App. A Jones reported that in her opinion being forced to race wide for the duration of the event was the major contributing factor to the below market expectation performance of the gelding. A post-race Veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.  
 
GLOBAL SENSATION- Tightened for room at the start. Bumped heavily shortly after the start. Approaching the 800m was steadied to avoid heels. Steadied from heels rounding the home turn before being disappointed for a run in the early stages of the home straight.
 
ORACLE'S DRUMMER- Bumped shortly after the start and shifted wider.
 
COUNTY LOVE- Tightened for room at the start. Bumped shortly after the start becoming unbalanced and shifting out abruptly. A post-race examination of the mare revealed it to have sustained a minor laceration to its off fore leg.
 
SIR LOUIE- Laid in under pressure in the home straight.  
 
NOETHER – Due to a misunderstanding, G Cartwright was engaged to ride the gelding erroneously. Subsequently S Bogenhuber was the replacement rider for the filly. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
RACE 5: MOORE TRAILERS QTIS TWO-YEARS-OLD MAIDEN PLATE 1050 METRES
 
TWILIGHT BOOM- Declared a late scratching by order of Stewards at 7:21pm after bucking during the preliminary dislodging its rider. Upon the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all monies invested on the colt be refunded with the following deductions to apply-
 
1st- 36cents the win, 35cents place
2nd- 34cents the place.
 
Trainer M Nolan was advised a warning would be issued against the colts pre-race manners.
 
FREDDY LIGHTNING- Tightened for room at the start.
 
HEART OF MARBLE- Reared at the start losing ground. App. A Jones reported that the gelding raced greenly during the event and when asked to quicken failed to respond as she expected and ran on only fairly in the home straight. Trainer M Sears reported that the gelding has been a slow maturing type, and in her opinion will derive significant improvement from continued racing experience. Ms Sears advised the stable will monitor the manner in which the gelding recovers from tonight’s event before deciding where to progress with its current preparation.  
 
HELL OF A PRINCE- Failed to muster early speed and lost ground.
 
ILIKEIT ILOVEIT- Raced wide throughout. Hung out badly rounding the home turn, shifted wider on the track. Trainer K Kemp was advised the filly would be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to next racing.
 
 
RACE 6: QUEST TOOWOOMBA APARTMENT HOTEL QTIS THREE-YEARS-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP 1650 METRES
 
ANYWAY YOU WANT IT- Momentarily held up near the 550m.
 
GIBBED- Began awkwardly. Jockey S Bogenhuber was reprimanded for using her whip excessively during the event. That being on 15 occasions.
 
THE LOVE ROCKET- Jockey G Goomany was fined $300 for using his whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m.
 
THE CROW MAN- Raced in restricted room for some distance near the 1300m when
LA OMBRE shifted in. Jockey Gray the rider of LA OMBRE was reprimanded as a result of this incident.
 
HONOUR A DREAM- Tailed off during the event. Trainer J Judge was advised the filly would be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to next racing or have its future starts at non-tab meetings until such time as its form improves.
 
LA OMBRE- Over raced in the early stages. Tightened for room near the 450m.  Tailed off during the event. Trainer B Baker advised it was now his intention to spell the filly. Mr Baker was advised by Stewards that prior to returning to racing the filly it would be required to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards.
 
SCOTTISH PRINCE- App. K Cowan reported her saddle shifted forward during the event resulting in her mount proving difficult to restrain.
 
ELITE ELIZABETH- Tightened for room for some distance near the 1300m. Tailed off during the event. Trainer C Rogers was advised that the filly would now be barred for TAB venues until such time as it establishes form at non tab venues. 
 
 
RACE 7: 7 SUBZERO AIRCONDITIONING BM60 HANDICAP 1880 METRES
 
UNIQUE JOURNEY- Connections advised it is the intention to ride the gelding further forward if circumstances permit. Tightened for room at the start. Subsequently settled in a midfield position. Raced wide throughout.
 
A'YUN- Raced ungenerously for a short distance near the 1400m. Steadied from heels near the 700m. Momentarily raced in restricted room near the 500m. Jockey L Tilley reported the filly raced flat today and may have come to the end of its preparation. A post-race Veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
DECOR DEELS- Began awkwardly. Steadied from heels near the 200m.
 
TACTICAL MANUEVER- Began awkwardly.
