GENERAL
 
After taking evidence from App S Wilcock and Jockey C Eaton, Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the circumstances concerning App A Donald’s mobile phone being found in the Jockeys room, subsequent to her being dislodged in Race 2, to a date and time to be fixed.
 
 
 
Race 1: THANK YOU TTC MEMBERS RATINGS BAND 0 - 60 HANDICAP 1200m
 
BEAN ROCKING- Jockey B Loy was reprimanded under the provisions of AR128(c) for failing to arrive on course by the prescribed time and advised to ensure when booking his engagements he ensure adequate travel time between venues in future. Stewards permitted the gelding to race without a nose-roll after that piece of gear was broken whilst being fitted and a replacement was unable to be sourced in a timely manner. This was advertised by way of televised oncourse-public announcement. Momentarily held up passing the 300m.
 
ORSETTO- Raced wide for the majority.
 
GIDGET- Momentarily crowded near the 200m. On returning to the mounting yard was to have lost a near-hind plate in running.
 
RUSSIAN MINT- Began very awkwardly. Raced keenly when being restrained in the back straight in an effort to obtain a position with cover approaching the 900m when momentarily crowded and continued to race keenly for some distance thereafter. Raced keenly on heels leaving the 500m.
 
IT'SMEMARIO- Laid out rounding the home turn. Shifted in under pressure on straightening crowding runners to the inside. Jockey L Tilley was reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) as a result of this incident. Shifted ground when commencing to tire approaching the winning-post.
 
HEWRECKED'EM- Laid in passing the 900m. Raced wide for the majority. Commenced to lose ground from the 450m and finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer K Roon was advised a warning would be  placed on the geldings competitiveness.
 
TEQUILA DANCER- Slow into stride. Crowded and taken in approaching the 200m. Jockey C Whiteley advised he dropped his whip on entering into the home straight.
 
BIRAGUE- Began awkwardly.
 
COLLAGEN QUEEN- Was declared a late scratching at 12:45pm by order of Stewards when no suitable rider was available.
 
 
Race 2: WESTERN TRUCK GROUP BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP    1200m
 
BUSHIDO- Bumped passing the 500m and commenced to lose ground from that point, finishing tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer M Goodwin was advised a warning would be placed on the geldings competitiveness as a result.
 
KING OF THE DESERT- Raced keenly when being restrained in an effort to obtain cover approaching the 1000m. Obliged to shift out and away from heels passing the 250m.
 
KALUMBURU- Began awkwardly and bumped. Raced keenly approaching the 900m. Shifted out abruptly passing the 500m and bumped.
 
SILLY SALMON- Slow to begin. Shifted very wide abruptly passing the 750m to avoid a fallen rider. Shifted out under pressure passing the 250m when not fully clear of KING OF THE DESERT. Jockey M McDonald was reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) as a result of this incident.
 
TOKYO SINS- Began awkwardly. Laid in rounding the home turn.
 
WINTER RAIN- Bumped the inside running rail on several occasions near the 900m. When improving approaching the 750m was placed in restricted room, clipped heels, blundered and dislodged App A Donald making heavy contact with the inside running rail. App Donald was attended to by QAS officers and transported to Hospital for further treatment. App Donald will be advised she will require a medical clearance and cognitive assessment prior to again being permitted to ride in a race as well as incur a 12-day stand-down as per the QRIC concussion protocol unless a medical clearance is provided which clears her from having sustained a concussion. After taking evidence from Jockey L Tilley (KALUMBURU) and App S Champkin (KING OF THE DESERT) the matter was adjourned to a date and time to be fixed. Rider replacements were permitted as per Stewards race-day summary.
 
BEEBEE DAZZLER- Began awkwardly and bumped.
 
 
Race 3: TTC MEMBER LINDSAY KAMPF BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 870m
 
UNO MOON- Bumped passing the 600m. Shifted in under pressure approaching the 200m and crowded SUPER THEIF. App S Wilcock was reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) as a result of this incident.
 
SUPER THIEF (NZ)- Bumped on jumping. Obliged to shift out around heels on entering the home straight. Raced in restricted room approaching the 200m and bumped.
 
PALACE KEYS- Bumped passing the 600m. Bumped on the hindquarters approaching the 200m.
 
RUSSIAN DIVA- Bumped on jumping.
 
STORY OF STELLA- Bumped heavily on jumping. Momentarily crowded approaching the 800m. Performed disappointingly. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. App S McCann advised her mount travelled fairly throughout but failed to let down as expected. Trainer L Hatch stated that the stable were disappointed with the performance having expected a forward showing and connections would now consider the mares immediate racing future.
 
ACIREMA- Bumped on jumping.
 
CITY CHICK- Shifted in marginally despite the efforts of its rider, momentarily crowding STORY OF STELLA near the 800m.
 
 
Race 4: HANNAS TOOWOOMBA MAIDEN PLATE  1300m
 
LOVE ON DISPLAY- Momentarily crowded on entering the home straight.
 
OBSIDIAN ROSE- Stood flat footed as the start was effected and lost ground. Trainer J Townsend was advised the mare would be required to obtain a further barrier certificate prior to again being permitted to start in a race. Raced wide for the majority.
 
TSUKINO- Became awkwardly placed on heels soon after the start.
 
GERALDINE'S WISH- Bumped on jumping. Over-raced approaching the 1000m until a point near the 800m. Shifted in under pressure approaching the 200m and crowded LOVE ON DISPLAY. App S McCann was advised to exercise greater care as a result of this incident. Raced wide for the majority. On returning to the mounting yard was found to have lost an off-hind plate in running.
 
BRIGHT FLAMES- Raced keenly on heels approaching the 1000m. Finished tailed off. A post-race veterinarian examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer L Barnes was advised a warning would be placed on the mares competitiveness as a result.
 
BOVIDAE- Crowded on jumping. Momentarily crowded approaching the 800m. Held up for clear running from a point approaching the 400m until entering into the home straight. Laid in under pressure down the running.
 
 
Race 5: HIGHFIELDS BUILDER PTY LTD BENCHMARK 62 HANDICAP 1890m
 
HARBELLE- Began very awkwardly. After being caught wide and racing keenly in the early stages was permitted to stride forward passing the 1600m and settled into a leading position approaching the 1300m. Raced keenly down the back straight. On returning to the mounting yard was found to have lost a near-hind plate in running.
 
DROP THE PILOT- Began awkwardly and bumped. Over-raced on heels near the 1500m when being restrained. Laid in under pressure down the running.
 
KNEZE- Bumped on jumping. Raced keenly passing the 1500m and again passing the 1200m. Held up for clear running from a point approaching the 400m, having to be restrained off heels near the 300m and did not obtain clear running until approaching the 250m. Laid in under pressure down the running.
 
THORNYCROFT (NZ)- Bumped on jumping. Raced keenly passing the 15500m and the 1300m. Finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer M Labahn was unable to offer any tangible explanation for the poor performance and stated the stable were disappointed, adding further that consideration would be given to removing the tongue tie and adding blinkers to the geldings gear. Stewards noted the explanation, nonetheless, in light of the performance, Ms Labahn was advised the gelding would require a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to again being permitted to start in a race.
 
BEARHUG- Began awkwardly and bumped. Raced keenly passing the 1500m.
 
MY WHISTLEBLOWER- Raced keenly down the back straight. Shifted in when not fully clear of RUDIMENTARY passing the 400m. App S McCann was reprimanded as a result of this incident.
 
RUDIMENTARY- Inconvenienced passing the 400m.
 
EVRYNOW'N'THEN- Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced wide for the majority. Lost ground from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a slow post-race recovery. Trainer V Heading was advised the mares nominations at provincial venues would be refused until such time its country form had improved.
 
 
Race 6: HAYNES - THINK PEOPLE THINK HAYNES CLASS 1 PLATE  1625m
 
BRINGME- Laid out passing the 1500m. Raced keenly in the early stages of the back straight. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the backs straight and thereafter proved reluctant to shift out from behind heels despite the efforts of its rider and consequently went to the line without being fully tested.
 
FASTNET JACK- Raced wide for the majority. Lost ground from the 600m and finished tailed off. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer J Sutton was advised the geldings nominations at Provincial venues would now be refused until such time as it country form had improved.

MONACO DELUXE- Bumped on jumping. Raced keenly when crossed near the 1500m and laid out marginally. Lost ground form the 700m and finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer N Larkin was advised that the geldings nominations at Provincial venues would now be refused until such times its country form had improved.
 
SILVER ONYX- Trainer G Allard was fined the sum of $100 under the provisions of LR67(1) for the late declaration of rider on the gelding.
 
WHO'S IN WINNY- Fractious in the barrier dislodging Jockey M Savva. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Trainer P Kalinowski was advised a warning would be placed on the mare as a result. Shifted out and away from another runner passing the 1500m. Raced keenly approaching the 1000m. Laid in under pressure in the early stages of the home straight.
 
 
Race 7: SHERRIN RENTALS MAIDEN HANDICAP  870m
 
The start time of the event was amended to 8:51pm to accommodate scheduling changes for southern meetings.
 
KING KONG CRUZ- Raced greenly in the early stages.
 
DESTINY'S DANCER- Blundered soon after the start.
 
LITTLEMISSCANCAN- Raced wide for the majority.
