Race 1: SUNPORK FRESH BENCHMARK 50 H’CAP – 825M
 
TEZZA- Declared a late scratching at 1:00pm after the gelding refused to proceed to the barriers.
 
Upon the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all monies invested on TEZZA be refunded with the following deduction to apply-
 
1st- 1cent the win 4cents the place
2nd- 5cents the place
3rd- 4cents the place.
 
A warning was issued against the pre-race behaviour of TEZZA.
 
FAIR BID- Barrier slightly slow to open and as a result lost ground at the start.
 
PRETORIUS- A post-race Veterinary examination of gelding revealed it to be lame in the off fore leg. Trainer M Johnstone was advised he will be required to obtain a Veterinary Certificate for the gelding prior to it next racing.
 
 
 
Race 2: NATURES FRESH BEEF BENCHMARK 65 H’CAP – 1100M
 
QUART POT- Slow to begin.
 
COURTING JOY- Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 3: NUTRIEN AG SOLUTIONS QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1200M
 
As Jockey C Meehan was indisposed due to personal reasons, he was replaced as the rider of SET BEAT by R Goltz.
 
MASSIE WHISPER- Began awkwardly.
 
KRAKAN COVE- Slow to begin.
 
FROM THE GONG- Raced 4 wide without cover throughout.
 
COMFORTABLY NUMB- Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority.
 
MOCATTA- Began awkwardly.
 
Race 4: VANDERFIELD MACHINERY CLASS B H’CAP – 1200M
 
IBERIAN LACE- Began awkwardly and hung out during the middle stages.
 
D’GREAT BEUATY- Began awkwardly and then bumped shortly after the start.
 
BLAZING HARADA- Slow to begin.
 
SHEER IMPULSE- Steadied from heels near the 1000m.
 
Race 5: SUNPORK FARMS BENCHMARK 60 H’CAP – 1400M
 
APITHANOS- Slow to begin. Held up for clear running for a considerable distance from 600m.
