Race 1 - Maiden Plate 825 METRES
 
COLD – Jumped in at the start. Raced three wide throughout.
 
DUSTY HAZE – Began awkwardly and shifted out.
 
ROSEAMI – When asked to comment rider I Rabjones stated the mare was not suited by the fast early tempo and would be better suited in races of a longer distance than that of today.  Trainer P Wallace confirmed it would now be his intention to step ROSEAMI up in distance.
 
JAYBE HERSHCELLE – Checked at the start between DUSTY HAZE which jumped out and COLD which jumped in.
 
CHUP – Slow to begin.
 
ROSETA LASS – Declared a late scratching at 11:50am after being injured when transported to the track.
 
SHE’S ABLAZING – Raced four wide throughout.
 
Race 2 - QTIS Maiden Plate 1200 METRES
 
BETTER IN THAN OUT – Raced wide from the 600 metres.
 
KINGSFORD TIGER – Apprentice I Rabjones, rider of KINGSFORD TIGER, was fined $500 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip 9 times prior to the 100 meters, four more than permitted.
 
TRY TO BE GOOD – Apprentice Z Sprie, rider of TRY TO BE GOOD, was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip 6 times prior to the 100 meters, one more than permitted.
 
LET’S BOOM – Raced three wide for the majority of the event.
 
ZARAGIGI – Slow to begin.
 
STATUTES – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
TWINKLE – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 3 - 2 Class B Handicap 1200 METRES
 
LEARNING CURVE – Raced three wide for the majority of the event.
 
KAKATIYA – Slow to begin.
 
QUEENOFMAINSTREET – Raced three wide with cover for the majority of the event.
 
SAINT NO MORE – Rounding the home turn steadied momentarily to the inside of LEARNING CURVE.
 
BOND GIRL – Slow to begin.
 
IBERIAN LACE – Held up for clear running between the 300 meters and the 200 meters.
 
KAKATIYA – Held up for a short distance leaving the 300 meters.
 
 
Race 4 - BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1100 METRES
 
ABB ROY – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
MY BEST EFFORT – Crowded at the start when MIRALIE jumped in. A short distance later was crowded for room and had to steadied when MIRALIE shifted in. H Phillips, rider of MIRALIE, was reprimanded for careless riding under AR131(a) for allowing her mount to shift in when not fully clear.
 
YALANJI – Slow to begin. Taken in and crowded for room approaching the 1000 meters.
 
BLAINE – Checked near the 1000 meters when racing to the inside of YALANJI which was taken in by MISS MAKEPEACE. Apprentice I Teh, rider of MISS MAKEPEACE, was reprimanded for careless riding under AR131(a) for allowing her mount to shift in when not fully clear. Near the 600 meters, when over-racing, shifted in of its own accord sand bumped the running rail.
 
MISS MAKEPEACE – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
Race 5 - BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1400 METRES
 
The start of this event was delayed approximately 10 minutes to allow QAS personnel to attend to an on-course patron.
 
BASIL – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
EXPLORATION – Raced wide for the majority of the event.

OUR BOY TRAV – Over-raced in the early and middle stages of the event and near the 1000 meters restrained from the heels of ROCK ME HUSSY. Rider L Barr reported the gelding tended to lay out for the majority of the event.
 
MY TARANAKI – Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the event.
