GENERAL

As App T Noble was unable to fulfil her riding engagements due to medical reasons, Stewards permitted rider changes as per Stewards race-day summary. App T Noble was advised a medical clearance is required prior to being permitted to ride again.



Race 1: BLACK TRUCK & AG MAIDEN PLATE 825 M

LEROY LION Stood flat footed when the gates opened, lost considerable ground and tailed the field for majority of the race. Trainer S. McEwan was notified a warning would be placed on the gelding for unsatisfactory barrier behaviour.

TUANAKI CREEK Jumped awkwardly.

CRAIGLEA BRONTE Over raced early and middle stages of the event. Hung out approaching the 400m. Trainer K. Johnson was notified a warning would be placed on the mare for its racing manners.

LUMINOUS WATERS Raced wide without cover for majority. Leaving the 200m rolled in under pressure.

PRINCESS LUTETIA Hung out approaching the 400m.

PSYCHEDELIC BEAN A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

WET FAT CAT Raced wide without cover for the majority.


Race 2: ONE TREE AGRICULTURE QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1200 M


CHICK CHICK STICK Raced wide without cover for majority.

DESTINY GUNGHO Commenced to weaken approaching the 400m. Hung out around the home turn into straight. Leaving the 200m laid in under pressure, placing NYTHE in restricted room on the rail.

MERCHANT MOON Slow into stride. Raced wide without cover for majority.

NYTHE Stewards permitted App M Goring to claim 0.5kg of his 3kg allowance on NYTHE, due to the late notification and no other suitable riders available. Slow out to begin. Approaching the 200m, held up for a clear run and raced onto the heels of DESTINY GUNGHO, which was giving ground. After taking a run on the rail leaving the 200m, raced in restricted room for a few strides when DESTINY GUNGHO laid in under pressure.

HAIRY BEAN Raced wide in the middle stages.

HEROIC DESIRE App S. McCann dropped her whip approaching 200m. Leaving the 200m raced in restricted room for a few strides.

MISS BIITTERSWEET Laid in under pressure leaving the 200m, placing HEROIC DESIRE in restricted room.

RUPERT'S JEWELL Raced wide without cover for majority. Jockey M. Mankelow dropped her whip approaching the 200m.

MONTAGLIARI Hung out around the home turn and into the straight, taking CHICK CHICK STICK wider, before being straightened. Hung in leaving the 200m, obliging Jockey M Savva to momentarily stop riding to correct the mare.



Race 3: WOODS GRAIN CLASS B HANDICAP 1200 M

ARIAT Raced wide without cover for majority. App S. McCann dropped her whip approaching the 100m.

LITTLE SHOW Jumped awkwardly.

FRENCH COMET Laid in approaching the 400m. Hung out when turning into home straight.

CINTIA Raced wide without cover for majority. Hung out when turning into home straight.

GREEN PARK Raced wide without cover for majority.

ISLE OF BOOTY Improved onto heels approaching the 1000m and lost considerable ground. Trainer Pat Webster was fined the sum of $200 under the provisions of LR67(1) for the late declaration of rider.

RED SHIRAZ Hung out when turning into home straight.

CONTESSA NILE Jumped awkwardly.



Race 4: RDO WARRA CUP BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1100 M

GAZZMAN Raced wide without cover for majority.

SUNIKI Raced wide without cover for majority.

CAPE CLUSTER Slow to begin.

Stewards will inquire into an incident that occurred approaching the 100m involving SOXTRA App C. Lowe and SUNIKI App Z. Hunt on a later date to be set.

Race 5: DALBY TYRES BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1400 M

STORMTROOPER Raced wide without cover for majority.

FLY LIKE HELEN Jockey T Wheeler reported the mare’s tongue tie fell off during the race at some point and over the final stages, was making an abnormal breathing noise, so he desisted with fully testing the mare. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormities.

MY DAY Jumped awkwardly. Jockey H. Phillips reported the horse did not handle the track surface.
