RACE 1: TREVOR LOCKE/JOHNNY BARBIERATO MEMORIAL MAIDEN PLATE – 800m

IMABARMAN – Apprentice J. Morrow was fined $300 under AR.92(12) for only claiming one kilogram of his four kilogram allowance.

TIANYAR – Fractious in barriers.

NICCONI BAY – Began awkwardly.

MIRACLE STAR – Began awkwardly. Laid in shortly after the start making heavy contact with another runner to the inside.


RACE 2: COLLEEN BURGESS/JUSTIN BRIGGS COMMEMORATIVE BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 800m

KICKSTARTER – Began awkwardly making heaving contact with another runner to the outside.

KARMA FORCE – Forced inwards by another runner shortly after the start making have contact with another runner to the outside.

FAME AND FORTUNE – Placed in restricted room shortly after the start by runners either side and lost significant ground. Laid out under pressure in the early stages. Eased from heels for a short distance approaching the 500m. Hung out rounding the home turn forcing another runner wider on the track.

GOOD GRAB – Taken in by another runner shortly after the start placing another runner to the inside in restricted room.

HIDDEN SEQUEL – Began awkwardly making heavy contact with another runner to the inside. Taken wider on the track by another runner leaving the 500m and raced wide without cover the remainder. Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.

YOUR OPTION – Laid in rounding the home turn forcing another runner to the inside to ease.




RACE 3: PETER WATT/HECTOR HOCKINGS MEMORIAL CLASS B HANDICAP – 1100m

CLOWN IN THE MOON – Refused to load. Declared late scratching at 2:50pm by order of the Stewards. Stewards ordered that all monies invested in CLOWN IN THE MOON be refunded with the following deduction to apply:

0 cents in the dollar for the win #4
8 cents in the dollar for place of winner #4
11 cents in the dollar for 2nd place #6
4 cents in the dollar for 3rd place #2

Trainer M. Hemming’s was advised that the mare would require a series of three consecutive barrier certificates prior to it returning to race

KIMHORSEDASHIAN – Approaching the 900m clipped heels, blundered and lost ground when TIZ shifted in abruptly. Apprentice M. Wishart, the rider of TIZ, plead guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR. 137 (a) in that approaching the 900m she allowed her mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of KIMHORSEDASHIAN causing that runner to clip heels, blunder and lose ground. Apprentice Wishart’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 11 days, to commence midnight Monday 18 February and expire midnight Friday 1 March 2019.

HOVE ACTUALLY – Slow to begin.

RACE 4: RURAL CONTRACTING QLD BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP – 1100m

TIN’S POCKET – Over Raced for a short distance approaching the 800m. Hung out throughout.

MELLORE – Began awkwardly making heavy contact with another runner to the outside.


RACE 5: MICK RAWLINGS/TED WEIER MEMORIAL CLASS B HANDICAP – 1350m

BOLTIN’ DESIRE – Began awkwardly.

SIR ROTHEWAY – Raced wide throughout. Laid in marginally upon straightening causing another runner to the inside to ease. Apprentice S. Sweeney was issued a reprimand for careless riding under AR.137(a).

THELLYSON – Raced wide without cover throughout.

BIANCATAK – Laid out under pressure down the home straight.

SPARMAN – Sustained an injury during transport and was subsequently declared a late scratching upon veterinary advice at 12:20pm. Trainer R. Hay was advised that the gelding would require a veterinary certificate prior to returning to race.

ROCKY HALO – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the inside.
