Race 1: WARWICK AUTOMOTIVE BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP – 1100M

CLASSIC BEAU – Hung out past the winning post dislodging its rider. Trainer M. Boland was advised that a barrier certificate would be required prior to racing again. Apprentice M. Savva was examined by QAS was cleared from injury. Post-race veterinary clearance revealed no significant findings.

TAY SWIFT – Tightened for room shortly after the start.

KIBBIT RAHEEB – Began awkwardly. Bumped shortly after the start.

THE LAWYER – Raced in restricted room near the 800m. Raced 3 wide throughout.

NICCONI BAY – Raced wide without cover throughout.

TINS’S POCKET – Near the 200m shifted out to obtain clear running.

Race 2: BILL & MARGARET HOIBERG MEMORIAL
QTIS MAIDEN PLATE– 1200M

PIANO MAN- As app T. Williams failed to arrive on course by the required time, App. B. Mackie was substituted as the rider. App. T. Williams was reprimanded.

EASY INSTINCTS – Bucked for a considerable distance on jumping away. Trainer representative was advised that a barrier certificate would be required prior to racing again.

SHAGRIMMY- Bumped shortly after the start. Had to be steadied from heels near the 800m.

PIANO MAN – Had to be steadied near the 800m.

FORTUNATE DEGREE – Raced wide without cover throughout.


Race 3: GROVE JUICE BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP– 1350M

VELITES – Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

RAINBOW SPIRIT – Bled one nostril. Trainer J. Murdoch will be advised that the gelding would be required to satisfactorily gallop over 1000m before being permitted to race again.

STORMY GREY – Shifted out when under pressure.

THERE’S NEMO – Slow to begin.

OUR ROCK O’ REILY – Raced wide without cover throughout.

RUBY RUSH – Began awkwardly.



Race 4: ERGON ENERGY 2019 TAB BATTLE OF THE BUSH WARWICK QUALIFIER OPEN HANDICAP– 1100M

MAN OVERBOARD – Shifted out and bumped another runner.

DRUM MASTER – Shifted in and bumped another runner. Near the 800m tightened for room and had to be checked. L. McCoy the rider of MUSIC SCENE, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that near the 800m she permitted her mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of DRUM MASTER resulting in that runner being tightened for room and having to be checked. Jockey McCoy licence to ride in races was suspended for 9 days , to commence at midnight on Saturday 11 May 2019 and expire at midnight on Monday 20 May 2019.

DAYTIME DANCER – Slow to begin. Tightened for room shortly after the start.

BAKER BOY – Began awkwardly and lost ground.



Race 5: SOUTHERN DOWNS AG BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP– 1500M

Stewards permitted N. Tomizawa ( PRODUCE ME LATE), R. Goltz (SIR CASS) and App. M. Nakao (CLOWN IN THE MOON) to be replaced to ride at another venue. Rider replacements as per stewards race day summary.


VOANABA – Slow to begin.

SIR CASS – Near the 300m, clipped heels and blundered when tightened for room between INKULU and VOANABA which slightly shifted out. T. Treichel (VOANABA) was advised to exercise more care.

WHISTLINDIXIE LAD – Began awkwardly.

YOUL BEATEM – Raced 3 wide throughout.

SILK TOPPER - Raced 3 wide until being allowed to stride forward to a position in the lead near the 800m.

DAZET – Raced 3 wide until approaching the 800m.
