Race 1: KILLARNEY CO-OP MAIDEN PLATE – 800M
 
The start of this race was delayed to allow QAS to attend to a member of the public.
 
BURN THE BOATS- Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground. Reluctant to stretch out during the event and tailed off. As this was the geldings first race start, a warning was issued.
 
PHONY PONY- Began awkwardly and shifted out.
 
DREAM PIECE- Forced wider on jumping. Steadied over the concluding stages to avoid heels.  
 
SUNDAY SPECIAL-Slipped on jumping away.
 
JACKO’S A NATURAL-Raced in restricted room and lost ground near the 700m. Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
CATHVALANNA – Slipped on jumping away.
 
KRUSTALLOS-  Bumped on the hind quarters near the 700m and became unbalanced. Laid out, in the home straight.
 
SPEZIA LADY – Laid in, in the home straight.
 
Race 2: ANGUS WICKHAM MEMORIAL MAIDEN PLATEBILL & MARGARET HOIBERG MEMORIAL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1350M
 
THELLYSON, underwent a veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers at the request of its rider and was subsequently found to be lame in the near foreleg. As such was declared a late scratching on veterinary advice at 2:04pm. On the announcement of correct weight, stewards ordered that all monies invested on THELLYSON be refunded, with the following deductions to apply to successful wagers placed prior to 2:04pm;

14 cents in the dollar for place of winner #11
12 cents in the dollar for 2nd place #7
12 cents in the dollar for 3rd place #8
 
Trainer G. Schwenke was advised that a vet clearance would be required, prior to the gelding racing again.

UNCLE JIM -  Slow to begin.
 
INTERFLORA EXPRESS -  Steadied from heels shortly after the start.
 
PROLETAIRE -  Steadied from heels near the 1200m and shifted wider. As a result raced wide for the remainder without cover.
 
COMPLETE TRUST- Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
HUGS ‘N’ KISSES -  Raced wide throughout.
 
MANHATTANITE - Improved onto heels near the 250m, before shifting to the inside to secure clear running.
 
MONSTRO SAGRADO – Post race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
Race 3: TOPX WARWICK/SMITH'S FARMS - THE FALLS KILLARNEY CLASS B HANDICAP – 1350M
 
BLUE MONTE - Stewards accepted the explanation in relation to the late declaration of App. M. Shimodaira.
 
RUBY RUSH – Shifted wider near the 600m to endeavour to secure clear running.
 
SMOKIN’ HUSSAY – Checked and lost ground on jumping away.
 
WHITMAN – Tightened for room at the start. Raced in restricted room near the 900m.
 
GLITTER TOP – Tightened for room at the start.
 
BOSS’S BOY – Tightened for room at the start, then was forced wider across heels by another runner, losing ground.
 
BLUE MONTE – Raced wide throughout.
 
SERAMASA – Became awkward near the 850m. Commenced to hang out near the 800m. Bled from both nostrils for the first time. Trainer T. Moloney was advised that the gelding is ineligible to race for 3 months and before racing again must gallop satisfactorily over 1000m in the presence of a steward.
 
Race 4: KILLARNEY CUP BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP– 1500M
 
 
STELLAR JEWEL- Slow to begin.
 
I’M FAVULOUS- Slow to begin. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
MR OPURRTUNIST- Shifted wider approaching the home turn to secure clear running.
 
SHOW ’EM- When questioned in relation to the seemingly disappointing performance App. B Mackie explained that the gelding failed to run on with the heavy imposed weight and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no significant findings.
 
Race 5: KILLARNEY'S TOP SHOP/FUNERAL TRANSFER SERVICES QTIS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP (1)– 1100M
 
DULCIE TIE – Bumped at the start.
 
TARWYN BLUE – Began awkwardly and bumped another runner. Disappointed for a run near the 250 and had to steady. Shifted wider to secure clear running near the 100m.
 
TIN’S POCKET – Raced 4 wide with cover throughout.
 
SHE’S GOT MAGIC – Raced 4 wide with cover throughout.
 
TOECANARGIE MAN – Raced 4 wide without cover throughout.
 
SHE’S BEAT UP – Post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
Race 6: THANK YOU ROSS MCINTOSH FOR YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE QTIS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP (2) – 1100M
 
HEART OF KINGS – Lost a near side winker in running near the 800m. Hung out in the home straight.
 
MAKEMYDAY – Slow to begin. Improved on to heels and shifted wider near the 400m.
 
SWIFT RESPONSE – Bumped near the 200m by HEART OF KINGS which shifted out. App. B. Mackie was advised to make a greater effort to prevent her mount from shifting ground.
 
BOLD CRUSADER – Bled from both nostrils for the first time. Trainer P. Clarke was advised that the gelding is ineligible to race for 3 months and before racing again must gallop satisfactorily over 1000m in the presence of a steward.
 
SHEZ OUR DESTINY – Raced 3 wide with cover throughout.
 
MESSAGE TO MARTHA – Slow to begin. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. Laid in, in the middle stages.
