GENERAL
 
The following runners were declared late scratchings @ 12pm due to no available riders; Race 3 MUSIC AWARD & SEVEN YEAR REWARD, Race 4 WIKI & MISS BOUCHARD, Race 6 CYCLONE DIVA.
Overweight permitted as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.
 
Race 1:NORTH GREGORY TURF CLUB QTIS Maiden Plate 800 metres
 
Due to the late scratching of BELLOFTHEHUNTER the following betting deductions were declared; All win bets paid less 14 cents and all place bets paid less 18 cents in the face value of the ticket. All bets placed on BELLEOFTHEHUNTER were ordered to be refunded in full.
 
ARTHUR’S THEME – Checked after the start.
 
RAPID STYLE – Jumped outwards checking ALL SORTED.
 
ALL SORTED – Checked after the start.
 
BELLEOFTHEHUNTER – Declared a late scratching at 12.25pm when the mare refused to proceed to the barriers. Stood down from racing until completion of a satisfactory barrier trial.
 
IT’S PINS (NZ) – Checked after the start.
 
TABOO – Jumped outwards checking IT’S PINS out on to ARTHUR’S THEME.
 
 
Race 2: NORTH GREGORY TURF CLUB QTIS Maiden Plate 800 metres
 
 
SHADOW SNOW – Jumped awkwardly and was slow to begin. Trailed the field throughout.
 
STREET CLAUSE – Slow to begin and trailed the field throughout.
 
TAORMINA MATCH – Jumped awkwardly.
 
 
Race 3: NORTH GREGORY TURF CLUB BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1000 metres
 
LATIN DAYZ – Was a fraction slow to begin and hit the inside of the barrier structure on jumping resulting in rider Dan Ballard sustaining an abrasion to the right leg.
 
NO REFUND – Hung out on occasions during the run.
 
BI TURBO – Raced wide throughout.
 
MR CRUISE – Was a fraction slow to begin.
 
FLASH FIBIAN – Began awkwardly.
 
FAITH AND LOVE – Knuckled on jumping.
 
DANSK HAVN – Raced wide throughout.
 
LIZ’ DELIGHT – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 4: NORTH GREGORY TURF CLUB BENCHMARK Class B Handicap 1200 metres
 
ART THIEF – Jumped awkwardly and then trailed the field throughout.
 
COUNT MICHELIN – Bumped at the start.
 
GRAND PALAZZO (NZ) – Raced wide early.
 
BITTERSWEET PLUCK – Jumped awkwardly resulting in rider Tim Brummell striking his right knee on the barrier structure. Bumped after the start and then trailed the field.
 
METEORANO – Slow into stride.
 
FANDRAL – Bumped after the start. Hung in and trailed the field.
 
 
Race 5: NORTH GREGORY TURF CLUB BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1400 metres
 
 
GYPSY BIKER – Hung in under pressure.
 
MAGNATE – Jumped awkwardly and was slow to begin.
 
HEROISM – Raced wide for the majority.
 
MOPAR – Rider Jason Barbarovich was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for applying the whip to his mount on 7 occasions prior to the 100m (2 more occasions than permitted).
 
DO I HAVE TO – As the start was affected the right barrier gate rebounded and struck rider Jason Hoopert on the knee.
 
CHAMBERLAIN – Raced wide for the majority.
 
 
Race 6: NORTH GREGORY TURF CLUB BENCHMARK 45 Handicap 1400 metres
 
MANDEVILLE ROCKER (NZ) – Rider Jason Missen reported that leaving the 1200m the gelding jibbed and despite his efforts pulled up. A post-race veterinary examination of the horse failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. MANDERVILLE ROCCKER (NZ) has been stood down from racing until the completion of a satisfactory barrier trial.
 
GONZO – Raced wide throughout.
 
KING LANDON (NZ) – Trailed the field throughout.
 
NITRO CITY – Hung in under pressure.
 
DREAM HALO – Slow to begin.
