Race 1: SEARLES GARDEN PRODUCTS OPEN Handicap (1000 metres) ZUKAZ, raced 3 wide throughout without cover. ZILITOR, began awkwardly. DR DEMON, bumped QUIDNI at the start and as a result was slow into stride. Bled from both nostrils after leaving the saddling enclosure. Trainer Rodney Little was advised DR DEMON was barred from racing for a period of 3 months and must pass a 1000 metre gallop to the satisfaction of stewards before racing again. QUIDNI, bumped DR DEMON at the start and as a result was slow into stride and failed to show any early speed. FREDDIE EDDIE, began awkwardly. Race 2: ELDERS WINTON QTIS BENCHMARK 55 Handicap (1000 metres) CADENCE, raced wide throughout. FLASH FIBIAN, was fractious prior to the start and raced wide throughout. SEVEN YEAR REWARD, raced wide throughout. ROCKETHEAD, showed no early speed. Race 3: CURLEY’S TRANSPORT Class B Handicap (1200 metres) HIGHLAND EAGLE, began awkwardly and dipped shortly after the start. IRON ONE, bumped FANDRAL shortly after leaving the barriers. MADONNA FALLS, reared as the gates opened, rider Jason Hoopert struck his knee on the gates as a result. Jockey Hoopert reported his saddled slipped as a result of MADONNA FALLS rearing in the barriers which placed him at a disadvantage throughout the race. DISCO BEATZ, raced wide throughout. FANDRAL, bumped IRON ONE shortly after leaving the barriers. MY FIXATION, raced wide throughout. Race 4: TUFF TYRES WINTON Maiden Plate (1200 metres) MATAGORDA, lay in under pressure down the home straight. ORCUS, fractious prior to the start and reared in the barriers, approaching the 1100 metres rider had to steady when the rider of REDENZO ROMAN shifted out. Raced wide for the majority of the race. OUR YOUNG MAN, very fractious prior to the start. NANNA BAX, blundered on jumping. REDENZO ROMAN, began awkwardly and rider shifted out near the 1100 metres forcing ORCUS to steady, jockey Denicious Smith was issued a reprimand under the terms of AR131(a) careless riding for shifting ground when not clear to do so. STREET CAUSE, raced wide for the majority of the race and shifted in under pressure down the home straight. Race 5: EMANATE LEGAL BENCHMARK 60 Handicap (1600 metres) BOTTOM LINE, jockey. Robert Faehr pleaded guilty to a charge under the terms of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using the whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100 metres, 2 more than permitted. Jockey Faehr was issued with a reprimand. BRETON, began awkwardly and refused to stretch out in the early stages, lay in under pressure in the home straight. Rider reported BRETON failed to handle the tight turning track and it would be better suited to bigger tracks. HEROISM, raced wide for the majority. VIKING RAID, began awkwardly and raced wide throughout.
