QRIC Stewards Report SOUTH BURNETTT mRACEE CLUB: 21st OCTOBERR 2017Weather: Overcast/Showerss Track: Sandd Rail:TrueStewards: K Daly, C Fedrick, P Ryan (club)Starter: K Dennienn Clerk of Scales: N AndresenJudge: R Wilton, P HoultPhoto finish operator: P ChiltonVeterinarian: Dr S Kelly >Race 1: MAIDEN PLATE 1100 Metres DANISH DICTION examined by club Vet prior to start after sustaining minor lacerations to off hind leg when being transported to track and cleared to start. When leaving the saddling enclosure made contact with QAS vehicle, examined by club Vet at the start and cleared to start. Raced wide throughout. DEEP CREEK LAD slipped on jumping away and lost ground. Near 300m checked and lost ground. MEET HARRY rider R Faehr was severely reprimanded for allowing the gelding to shift in near the 600m and tighten the running of CHURCHILL DAWN which had to steadied.. PIPEMAJOR rider reported at scale commenced to hang in from a point near the 700m and continued to do so for the majority of the event. Hung in near 300m despite the efforts of its rider and checked DEEP CREEK LAD. Trainer G Hay was advised the gelding must trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start. A post race Vet examination revealed no abnormality. CHURCHILL DAWN bumped at start. Tightened for room and steadied near 600m. GOING BALLISTIC jumped out at the start. SMART VENTURE slow to begin. Race 2: OPEN HDCP 1100 Metres>The start of this event was delayed approx. 10 minutes to allowthe re-saddling of SQUEEMI which was presented to the enclosure with the incorrect saddle cloth number. Subsequently both App N Lentini and trainer P Sexton were each fined $100 under AR175(k) for negligence. Correct weight was delayed to allow stewards to view the photo finish image of the dead-heat for first.Correct weight was further delayed to allow App H Phillips, rider of equal first place FABBS COWBOY, to view the DVD replay of the concluding stages. After doing so she elected to take the matter no further and correct weight declared on the judgees placings. JEBBS BOY slow to begin. HUMANISE slow to begin. NUGGS POCKET raced wide for the majority. Race 3: BENCHMARK 55 HDCP 1100 Metres Due to approaching heavy rain, start times were amended as follows: Race 3: 2:35pmRace 4: 3:05pmRace 5: 3:35pm CHESTNUT VALLEY as had not started for over 3 years was examined by the club Vet prior to racing and cleared to start. EXSTRATUM inconvenienced near the 600m. ROYAL TONE slow to begin. HIZOU momentarily steadied when taking a tight run between I AM MCLOVIN and ROYAL TONE near the 250m. Soon after had a tendency to lay in under pressure for a short distance. MASTER DENRHO raced wide with cover for the majority of the event. CHAMPAGNE WARRIOR raced wide for the majority of the event. LUCKS IN near 600m shifted in momentarily and inconvenienced EXSTRATUM. L McCoy was advised to exercise more care in these circumstances. Race 4: CLASS B HDCP 1465 Metres NATIONAL JEWEL raced wide for the majority of the event. LORD DARIUS blundered on jumping away and lost ground. STAR OF BETHLEHEM rider was placed at a disadvantage for the majority of the event after the saddle commenced to shift to the near-side shortly after the start and as a result near the 400m App G Steele was obliged to remove her feet from the racing irons. ASCOT BOUND raced wide in the early and middle stages of the event. Race 5: BENCHMARK 65 HDCP 1465 Metres FASTA THAN LIGHT made the turn out of the home straight at the 1200m awkwardly and shifted wider on the track. GAS BURNER slow to begin.
