General
Stewards approved the following overweight allowances for todays meeting –
Race 1 – BRAZZETI – Landon Sykes + 0.5kg
Race 4 - CHEVAL DE COURSE – Adam Sewell + 0.5kg
 
 
Race 1 SMITHFIELD FEEDLOT BURNETT TO THE BEACH BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1100 Metres.
OAKFIELD COMANCHE – Slow to begin. Raced wide. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
JAMESATELLI – Slow to begin. Held up rounding the home turn.
INTO CHAMPAGNE – Obliged to race in restricted room in the early stages.
TORRADAY – Slow to begin.
 
Race 2 RAFFIN ELECTRICAL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE (1) 2-Y-O & Up. Set Weights 1000 Metres.
CRUISING BILL – After being loaded in the barriers kicked out at the back gates and consequently underwent a Veterinary inspection before being cleared to start. Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced greenly in the early stages of the event.
DAULAT MERAH BESAR – A warning was placed on the racing manners of the gelding after hanging out around the turn from the 600m to the 400m. Raced wide and took no real part in the event.
CONLEY BELL –Had to be steadied when racing in restricted room near the 700m whilst racing to the inside of SO ODELIA which shifted in slightly despite the efforts of it`s rider.
SPRESSI – Slow to begin.
 
Race 3 ARGUS BUILDERS QTIS MAIDEN PLATE (2)2-Y-O & Up. Set Weights 1000 Metres.
HUSH PUPPY – Slow to begin. Jockey Gemma Steele reported that after being slow to begin she elected to race the gelding wide to avoid the sand kickback.
 
MISTER MONTAGUE – Blundered at the start and lost ground. Jockey Todd Banks reported that when the gelding blundered his saddle shifted placing him at a disadvantage. He also reported that MISTER MONTAGUE resented the sand kickback.
BOSS BANDIT – Raced wide.
 
Race 4 WONDAI DIGGERS CLUB CUP OPEN PLATE Set Weights 1000 Metres
DYNAMIC VERSE – Slow to begin.
PARKO - Raced wide.
PATENTED - Raced wide.
DIGGITY – Blundered at the start and lost ground.
 
Race 5 THE NORM ANDRESEN MEMORIAL CLASS B HANDICAP 850 Metres
QUEEN BEAN – Had to be checked at the start when bumped by JAIN.
DAULAT ULTI MAIORA – Slow to begin. Tightened for room shortly after the start and blundered after clipping the heels of RASHEED causing the gelding to lose ground.
LORD BRONN – Hampered at the start and had to be checked when JAIN jumped out and bumped QUEEN BEAN which then hampered LORD BRONN.
INVANESS – Jumped in at the start. Blundered at the 600m and became unbalanced for a short distance.
JAIN – Jumped out at the start and bumped QUEEN BEAN.
 
Race 6 WONDAI PERIES IGA & WONDAI H HARDWARE BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1577 Metres.
NORTHERN WOODS – Hung out on the first turn and lost ground.
CREDENZA – Raced wide early. Taken wider on the first turn when NORTHERN WOODS hung out.
CHAMPION PARADE – Raced wide.
FEND OFF – Slow to begin.
MODERN FAMILY – Slow to begin.
