ROCKHAMPTON JOCKEY CLUB STEWARDS REPORT 1/11/03

STEWARDS PANEL: R Doyle (Chairman), N Vagg, B Carrigg

WEATHER – FINE TRACK – GOOD RAIL – TRUE

As L Attard was indisposed, Stewards permitted the following riding replacements:
Race 1 BEYOND SUCCESS H Watanabe
Race 5 SCAREM HARUM H Watanabe

Races 4 & 5 were delayed due to Kangaroos on course.

RACE 1: CLASS 3 H'CAP – 1000M

BEYOND SUCCESS jumped awkwardly at the start.
Approaching the 800m JOAN’S CHOICE had to be steadied to avoid the heels of RED TESTA, which shifted in marginally.

RACE 2: CLASS 4 H'CAP – 1400M

After leaving the 800m TEDDY’S LUCK had to be steadied to avoid the heels of QUARTPOT, which shifted in marginally.
MACGNOME was held up for clear running on the home turn.

RACE 3: MAIDEN H'CAP – 1100M

TRY ME KY raced greenly in the early stages of the event shifting out making contact with MR FELIX(nz) causing that horse to shift out making contact with CECIL BEE.
ROUGH ENCOUNTER was inclined to lay out over the concluding stages of the event.

RACE 4: CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1100M

GILLETTE jumped out at the start minor contact with PEACE DANCE.

RACE 5: CLASS 6 H'CAP – 1100M

No racing incidents
