Supplementary Report

Apprentice K. Yoneyama pleaded guilty to riding trackwork with an unapproved whip at the Bundaberg Race Club on Thursday 16th December 2010. Apprentice K. Yoneyama was charged under AR 137A (2) and subsequently fined $100.

Trainer C Garland was reprimanded for having in his possession a substance, RAPIDGEL, which could be used to produce a prohibited substance in a horse, namely Camphor without the permission of the stewards on Thursday 14th October 2010.

Trainer R Bartholdt was reprimanded for having in his possession a substance, VICKS, which could be used to produce a prohibited substance in a horse, namely Camphor without the permission of the stewards on Thursday 14th October 2010.


Race 1: CQ Septic Class 4 Handicap- 900 metres
1st BOBERG 2nd FIAMORE 3rd LORD ALISTAIR 4th- WESTERN CHAT

As A. Coome was to be overweight, D. Simmons was substituted as the rider of WESTERN CHAT. Jockey Coome was fined $100 under AR 120 (b).
At the start WESTERN CHAT (D Simmons) shifted out on to SIR SOMETHING (M Barnham).
Race 2: G.J. Gardner Homes Yeppoon Class B Handicap- 900 metres
1st ELEGANCE ON ICE 2nd EXCLUSIVE COMPANY 3rd LAURELLE 4th- NINEDAYFORTNIGHT

SHOMBRAY (D Simmons) and WINDSONG (M Cant) both jumped awkwardly.
LAURELLE (App K Gates) dipped as the gates opened.
JOE KWILA (G Lee) shifted out in the straight at approximately the 250m and again at the 350m resulting in SHOMBRAY not being able to be fully tested.
MIDNIGHT SURRENDER (A Coome) raced wide
NINEDAYFORTNIGHT (T Bannon) was inclined to lay out rounding the home turn.
SHOMBRAY was vetted and returned no abnormalities. Jockey D Simmons was questioned as to the performance of SHOMBRAY and stated that horse performed below expectations. It was noted that the horse did not get clear running up the straight due to JOE KWILA shifting ground jockey D Simmons explanation was noted.


Race 3: Yeppoon Stockfeeds & Garden Supplies QTIS Two-Years-Old Handicap- 1000 metres
1st– ROCKET ON POP 2nd KISS THIS SPOT 3rd – ADDA ROCKET 4th- IMA REAL DUDE
A pre race vet inspection cleared ROCKET ON POP fit to start.
At the start IMA REAL DUDE (App K Gates) jumped out and blundered.
At the start HOUR WISH (G Lee) jumped out awkwardly.
At the start PRINCESS RODBORO (M Cullen) jumped out onto KISS THIS SPOT (App C Pye).
ADDA ROCKET (T Bannon) was inclined to lay in shortly after the start.
ALLBARTHESHOUTING (M Barnham) raced ungenerously rounding the home turn.
IMA REAL DUDE (App K Gates) shifted out at the 400m and raced wide down the straight. At approximately the 350m IMA REAL DUDE dipped for a few strides.

Race 4: Keppel Coast Concretors Handicap - 1000 metres
1st SUPER SHADOW 2nd HIGH DEE 3rd WHARTON WILLIE 4th – REGAL MOUNTAIN

SUPER SHADOW (App F Freihaut) jumped awkwardly.
Correct weight was delayed due to both Jockeys T Bannon & D Simmons wishing to view the patrol films in relation to the start. After viewing the films both jockeys were satisfied that a fair start had been effected and correct weight was declared.

Race 5: Pacific Hotel & Liquor Barn Maiden Plate - 1100 metres
1st MAGIC TURBO 2nd GOLD ADVANCE 3rd DARK HOMBRE 4th- JAMDIT

WESTERN YORK (App K Gates), PHOEBE FOR ME (M Cullen) and WENDYS CHOICE (App F Freihaut) were all slow away.
CARRY THE MING (M Barnham) raced wide from approximately 800m.
SEETHROUGH (D Simmons) raced wide from approximately 500m for the remainder of the event.
When questioned regarding the lack of vigour shown in the straight Jockey D Simmons stated that saddle on SEETHROUGH had shifted and the horse was inclined to hangout in the straight and was unable to be fully tested.
Trainer T. McMahon reported that PHOEBE FOR ME had pulled a shoe from the off hind during the event and also received lacerations to its near fore leg.

Race 6 J & C Legh General Engineers & Fabrication Class 3 Handicap- 1600 metres
1st WHAT A PLAY 2nd RED TSAR 3rd GIZA 4th- ZIGGY ZARIZ

ROYAL THIEF (D Simmons), ORPEN PRINCESS (G Lee) and SHERBROOKE (M Cullen) were all slow away.
PYPER’S IMAGE (App C Pye) jumped awkward from the barriers.
SHERBROOKE ,BARTALI (App K Gates) and MADDIE YO YO (M Cant) raced wide throughout.
OCCLO (J Stephens) raced in restricted room from approximately 800m through to the 600m.
