Race 1: XXXX Gold Winter Carnival F&M Maiden Handicap - 1100 metres  
 
CYCLONE MARCIA – Stewards accepted the explanation from connections for the late declaration of apprentice N. Summers as the rider of the horse. Slow to begin.
 
ADDING – Over raced in the early and middle stages of the race.
 
KEEN DESIRE – Made contact with another runner at the start. Raced 3 wide until near the 700m when restrained to take cover.
 
 
Race 2: R’ton Grammar School Races- Sat 6 May C, G & E Maiden Handicap - 1100 metres  
 
SAURABH – Jumped in the air as the start was effected, threw its head and shifted out, dislodging jockey L. Tilley. Connections were advised that a further barrier certificate must be provided prior to its next race start.
 
GENERAL BEERS – Slow to begin.  Apprentice Z. White reported she was reluctant to ride her mount out from near the 200m when the riderless horse was forward and to her outside.
 
 
 
 
Race 3: Tropical Auto Group Trainers Bonus QTIS 3YO Maiden Handicap - 1100 metres
 
BARACHIEL – Slow to begin and was further hampered when BANSHEE JET jumped inwards.  Near the 900m became awkward for a stride when on the heels of another runner.
 
BANSHEE JET – Over raced in the early stages.
 
DOUBLEO CI – Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
SERIOUS CAPER – Shifted ground under pressure in the straight.
 
JUCY LUCIE – Eased from the heels of INFRANGIBLE near the 700m
 
INFRANGIBLE- Near 700 metres, reluctant to hold its position inside another runner.
 
 
Race 4: R’ton Cup Calcutta - Friday 23 June Class 1 Handicap- 1300 metres
 
BIG SHOES – Began awkwardly.
 
CRAIGLEA BARINA – After assuming the lead near the 1000m, was restrained and commenced to over race until near the 700m.
 
RUFFY ROAD – Correct weight was delayed to allow jockey S. Sheargold to view the photo finish for first, following which correct weight was semaphored on the Judge’s placings. 
 
Race 5:  Stevens Hay Supplies R’ton Cup - Sat 24 June Class 3 Plate - 950 metres   
 
EDGE AWAY – As A. Coome was to be overweight, L. Tilley was substituted as the rider Jockey Coome was fined $200. Shifted out under pressure inside the 100m.
 
FRISKY TERROR – Slow to begin. Improved onto heels near the 600m.
 
CLARAGH – Shifted in near the 600m, at which time the horse commenced to hang outwards and FRISKY TERROR improved onto the heels of CLARAGH.  A post race veterinary examination of CLARAGH revealed the horse had been galloped on on both hind legs and was treated by the veterinary surgeon.
 
Race 6: Callaghan Park Functions and Events Centre Class 6 Plate - 1200 metres   
 
LOFN – Had difficulty proceeding to the barriers and did so riderless.  A further warning was placed on the mare with regard to its pre-race manners.  Slow to begin.
 
BELORUM – Slow to begin.
 
ATARARTZI – Raced wide without cover from the 600m and shifted out under pressure from the 200m.
 
THE THOMAS AFFAIR – A post race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the near foreleg, and was treated by the veterinary surgeon.  A veterinary certificate will be required prior to the horse’s next race start.
 
 
Race 7: XXXX Gold Open Handicap - 1100 metres  
 
COURT CLOWN – Trainer R. Vale made application to scratch the horse due to the track being upgraded to Good 3.  Stewards acceded to his request and the horse was declared a late scratching at 2.57 pm. A notation with regard to this scratching would be placed against the horse.
 
MAN OF DESTINY – Apprentice D. Graham viewed the patrol film prior to correct weight. After doing so, she did not proceed with any objection. Made contact with another runner on jumping away. Had difficulty obtaining clear running at approximately the 100m when another runners shifted ground slightly.
 
TERMS OF TRADE – Dipped on jumping.
 
NATURAL DANCER – Made contact on jumping away.
 
WILDERBEAST – Hung out in the middle stages of the race.  Held up momentarily near the 300m.
 
Race 8:  Winter Carnival Tickets On Sale Now! BM 70 Handicap - 1400 metres  
 
GAS BURNER- On arrival at the barriers underwent a veterinary examination at the request of its rider and was cleared to take its place in the field.
 
STYLISH LUCK – Commenced to over race near the 1200m and shifted out, taking BARCELONA BOUND wider. Continued to over race in the early and middle stages and from the 800m, bumped another runner on a number of occasions.  PULSAR, which was following, had to be eased from STYLISH LUCK.  Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
GLACIER EXPRESS – Slow to begin.
 
BARCELONA BOUND – Slow to begin. Forced wider near the 1200m. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
PULSAR - Had to be eased near the 800m.
