After hearing evidence from Jockey M Stephens, Trainer A Stephens and App. E Smith and making observations of the patrol films, Stewards noted that while QUADACUS (App. E Smith) had shifted out over the final 150 metres they were of the opinion that the interference suffered by TWIST EDGEROI (Jockey M Stephens) did not warrant the reversal of the placings and accordingly dismissed the objection and declared correct weight.
