Race 1: Centre State Signs Maiden Plate – 1400m
 
BALNAGAL – Jumped awkwardly and shifted out abruptly.
 
SERIOUS SYMPHONY – Hampered on jumping.  Rider D. Graham reported her mount never travelled during the event and was disappointing when asked for an effort.  A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
PRINCE NUTCRACKER – Raced wide in the early stages. Laid out under pressure in the home straight. Jockey M. Barnham was reminded of his obligations to ensure his whip arm is not raised above shoulder height.  Jockey M. Barnham was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(i) for using the whip in consecutive strides. A post race veterinary examination revealed some blood in the gelding’s mouth due to some minor lacerations.
 
MIGHTY MEERKAT – Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
 
Race 2: Ulton QTIS 2-Year Old and 3-Year Old Maiden H’cap – 1000m
 
This race was delayed 2 minutes due to BITTERGREYMAGIC having to be resaddled behind the barriers.
 
COOL OPERATOR – Slow to begin.
 
SHE’S OUR RIPPA – Jumped awkwardly.
 
BRANLINA – Reared on jumping. Overraced in the early stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.  A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
EMILEE’S EMPIRE – Jumped awkwardly.
 
BITTERGREYMAGIC – Jumped awkwardly, contacting FRENCH STICK.
 
FRENCH STICK – Hampered on jumping between EMILEE’S EMPIRE and BITTERGREYMAGIC, both of which shifted ground respectively.
 
BETHIA – Hampered on jumping.
 
TAMBO’S QUEEN – Raced wide throughout.
 
PERFECT SAGA – Jockey D. Graham stated that her intention was to lead, however the filly has had a tendency to miss the start and therefore was inclined to race further back than intended. Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
Following the event, jockey S. Wiseman reported to stewards that a rock had hit her in the face during the event. She was attended to by medical officials on course and passed fit to fulfil her remaining engagements.
 
 
Race 3: Wilpeena Cattle Co Benchmark 55 H’cap – 1800m
 
CAPTAIN TOM – Slow to begin. Became awkwardly placed on heels when passing the winning post on the first occasion.
 
JETINTOIT – Passing the winning post on the first occasion when the pace slackened, became awkwardly placed on the heels of SIR VAN DYKE and had to be steadied.
 
CRAIGLEA SIMMO – When passing the winning post on the first occasion the pace slackened and as a result had to be steadied off the heels of OR ELSE.
 
DON’T DOUBT LARA – When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, apprentice M. Potgieter stated that his intention was to be more forward, but after being slow to begin, was inclined to race at the back of the field. He added that when the pace slackened passing the winning post on the first occasion the mare started to overrace and had to be steadied off heels on a number of occasions. He further added that the DON’T DOUBT LARA then continued to overrace for 200m and resented his efforts to restrain, so he elected to allow the mare to stride forward, and when asked for a finishing effort responded poorly and proved disappointing.  A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
 
Race 4: Adams Plant Hire Pty Ltd Class 3 H’cap – 1200m
 
SHE’S ON POINT – A pre-race veterinary examination of the horse revealed no abnormalities and was  passed  fit to start.
 
THE CLANG AFFAIR – In the vicinity of the 550 raced keenly, hung out and became awkwardly placed on the heels of RAPTCHA’U.  Laid in under pressure in the vicinity of the 250m. 
 
MISS EIMAR – Laid out under pressure in the vicinity of the 250m.
 
RAPTCHA’U. A swab sample was taken from the mare who was a noticeable firmer in the event.
 
STREAMLINER – In the vicinity of the 250m was disappointed for a run between MISS EIMAR and THE CLANG AFFAIR, both of which shifted ground respectively.
 
TOM’S STAR – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
DANCING TYCOON – Rider Z. White reported the mare hung out for the entire race and therefore could not be put under pressure at any stage of the event. Trainer J. Manzelmann was advised the DANCING TYCOON would be required to trial to the stewards’ satisfaction prior to its next race start.
 
 
Race 5: BNJ Equine Vets Benchmark 50 H’cap – 950m
 
CHARLIE ROCKET – Slow to begin.
 
BROOKVILLE – Slow to begin. Hung out under pressure in the straight before then being corrected and then laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
MIRACULOUS – Shortly after jumping commenced to buck, placing rider J. Stanley at a severe disadvantage for the remainder of the event.  Trainer A .Coome was advised that the filly must trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start.  A swab sample was taken.
 
LUCKY BEE – Raced in restricted room in the vicinity of the 200m and hung in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
ISIS JECTALE – Laid out under pressure in the straight and then laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
RURAL REBEL – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Race 6: J.A.F. Electrical Solutions Benchmark 50 H’cap – 950m
 
LIBERTY’S GIFT – Slow into stride. Steadied off the heels of SERPENTI at the 600m mark and bumped the hind quarters of RAINBOW SPARKLES near the 400m.
 
BUSTER MOON – Jumped awkwardly. Hung out rounding the home turn. Shifted in near the 200m, causing CARRARA GOLD to be steadied. Rider D. Graham was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.  Raced wide throughout.
 
CHILLI PRAWN – Slow to begin. Raced greenly in the early stages.
 
RAINBOW SPARKLES – Bumped with LIBERTY’S GIFT in the vicinity of the 400m and as a result became awkwardly placed on heels.
 
CARRARA GOLD – In the vicinity of the 200m had to be steadied off the heels of BUSTER MOON, which shifted in.
 
SERPENTI – When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, rider A. Butler stated that the mare was not able to dictate terms today and therefore placed it at a disadvantage. He added it failed to respond to his riding throughout and went to the line in a disappointing fashion.  A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have mildly tied up.
 
 
Race 7: XXXX Gold Benchmark 50 H’cap – 1400m
 
REAL CLASSIC – Shifted out on jumping. Had to be steadied near the 200m when PAPER TALK rolled in marginally.
 
IDALIA’S DREAM – Carried out on jumping. Hung out under pressure in the home straight.
 
ROCK’N’ROLL BOBBY – Jumped awkwardly and shifted out abruptly.
 
PAIBLE – Slow to begin and hampered shortly after. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.  When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, jockey B. Appo stated his mount failed to travel at any stage of the event and failed to respond to his riding in the home straight and went to the line in a disappointing manner.  He added he felt the mare had come to the end of its preparation. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
PAPER TALK – Hampered and carried out on jumping.
 
ARJAYCEE – Placed in restricted room shortly after jumping between REAL CLASSIC and HULK HENRY.
 
THE DECKERAIDER – Raced wide throughout.
 
MR RESETTI – Raced wide throughout.
