VICTORY TOAST – Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
LOUIE THE LEGEND – Slow to begin.
 
ALEJANDRA – Rider C Frater was reprimanded for using the whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100m, being two more than permissible under the rule.
 
 
Race 2: Star Liquor Yeppoon Class B H’cap – 950m
 
HAUNTED HOUSE – Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
NINEONEONE – Ran off rounding the home turn.
 
BOLD ZIP –  Rider Z White was fined $300 for using the whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m, being one more than permissible under the rule.
 
LUNCH WITH COOPS – Late scratching at 10.05am on veterinary advice after injuring itself in its box. Trainer Z Hohn was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to a future start.
 
GAFFA – Slow into stride.
 
BETTYGEE (NZ) – Approaching the 600m became awkwardly placed on the heels of BROOKVILLE and was obliged to shift in to improve into clear running.

RUFFIN’ IT – Overraced in the middle stages. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
Race 4: Keppel Bay Sailing Club Class B H’cap – 1400m
 
TICKET KEEPER –Hung in throughout the event. Trainer J Campeao was advised the gelding would be required to trial prior to a future race start.
 
DUAN PHOENIX – Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
BON BON – Slow to begin. Rider M Cullen was fined $300 for using the whip on 8 occasions prior to the 100m, being three more than permissible under the rule.
 
Race 5: Caprincorn Sand & Gravel QTIS Maiden Plate – 1300m
 
BRAHMINY – Permission was granted for R Oakford to ride the gelding 1.5kg overweight due to no other available rider.
 
CORKONIAN – Raced wide throughout.
 
GEOVANNI – Approaching the 700m became awkward in its stride shifted out contacting BRAHMINY and as a result lost considerable distance. Trainer T Cook stated the gelding would be leaving his stable.
 
CHAMPAGNE AT DAWN – Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Z Hohn stated that mare would now be spelled.
 
NUCLEAR BOOM – Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
BAGGER TWISTIES – Trainer A Stephens was advised a warning would be placed on the record of the gelding in relation to its competitiveness.
