Race 1:STAR LIQUOR YEPPOON BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 950m
 
AIRACOBRA – Declared a late scratching at 12:00pm due to no rider being available.
 
MOZZIE CROWN – Began awkwardly. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
ALL NATIVE – Raced keen in the early stages. Jockey A. Spinks was fined $200 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for his use of the whip 9 times prior to the 100m.
 
NATIVE BEE – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
No further racing incidents
 
 
Race 2:LION NATHAN XXXX MAIDEN PLATE – 950m
 
ROUND THE FIRE – Began awkwardly. Raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages.
 
SUZURIN – Began awkwardly. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
SHE’S OUT THERE – Jockey M. Barnham was reprimanded under AR132(5) for his use of the whip 15 times in totality.
 
IT’S A PEARLER – Raced keen in the early stages. Laid in and had to be steadied from heels near the 700m.
 
 
Race 3:HUNTLYS HEAVY EQUIPMENT CLASS B HANDICAP – 1000m  
 
FINAL CRIME – bumped on jumping and lost ground. When questioned regarding the seemingly disappointing performance Jockey C. McIver advised that his mount failed to respond when placed under hard riding from the 600m and in his opinion proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
 
SHEZROYAL – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the inside.
 
ITSA CLAMITY – Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
MILITARY FORCE – Bumped on jumping.
 
Race 4:G.J. GARDNER YEPPOON QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD
MAIDEN HANDICAP – 1100m  
 
POWER LOAD – Raced keenly with its head in the air near the 800m.
 
BETTALATETHANNEVER – Began awkwardly.
 
DOUBLE PROOF – Began awkwardly.
 
No further racing incidents.
 
 
Race 5:REGALS DENTAL CLASS B HANDICAP – 1400m  
 
ADAM’S APPLE – Slow to begin. Raced wide without cover throughout the middle stages.
 
MONEY TRAVELS – Raced wide in the early stages before obtaining the leading position near the 1100m. Commenced to weaken from the 600m taking no further competitive part in the event. Apprentice B. Johnson could offer no explanation for todays seemingly disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
 
EMPEROR OF LIGHT – Apprentice N. Seymour’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 days (to commence midnight 9/8/2022 and to conclude midnight 16/8/2022) for her use of the whip 19 times in the race.
