SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

GENERAL
The start of the race meeting was delayed to allow the Photo Finish operator to arrive on-course after having not been notified of today’s scheduled meeting. The Club was advised to ensure that appropriate notice was given to required staff for future meetings to avoid such circumstances.

After the running of race 2 the track was upgraded to Good 4.

Following the running of race 2 Apprentice Shae Nielson was examined by the on-course ambulance officers and declared unfit to take her remaining ride. Miss Nielson was advised that she must present a medical clearance prior to resuming riding in races or trials.

Jockey Tasha Chambers (VICE) was found guilty of a charge under AR131(a) for careless riding, in that near the 700m she permitted her mount to shift in when riding forward, resulting in EMPEROR’S REWARD being tightened in onto IT’S A PEARLER, which in turn was forced in onto MUNGO MAN which was checked and lost ground. The license to ride in races of Ms Chambers was suspended for 7 days to commence midnight the 4th of November 2022 and conclude at midnight the 11th of November 2022. In assessing penalty, stewards considered the rider not guilty plea, the racing manners of VICE and Ms Chambers relatively good record under this particular rule.
