The Club was advised to ensure that appropriate notice was given to required staff for future meetings to avoid such circumstances.After the running of race 2 the track was upgraded to Good 4.Following the running of race 2 Apprentice Shae Nielson was examined by the on-course ambulance officers and declared unfit to take her remaining ride. Miss Nielson was advised that she must present a medical clearance prior to resuming riding in races or trials.Race 1: LION NATHAN QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN Handicap 950 metres SIX DRINKS IN – Raced greenly on occasions during the run.CORABETTY – Raced greenly under pressure.ANGEL ABOVE – Slow to begin.FORTY FOUR FLYER – Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed significant lameness in the near foreleg and as such, the filly has been stood down from racing pending receipt of a veterinary clearance.Race 2: HUNTLY HEAVY EARTHMOVING BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 950 metresSPLASHER – Slow to begin.FRUSTRATED – Inclined to lay in under pressure in the initial stages of the home straight.BOLD ZIP – Slow to begin.Race 3: STAR LIQUOR MAIDEN PLATE 1200 metres EMPEROR’S REWARD – Tightened for racing room near the 700m.MUNGO MAN – Tightened and checked near the 700. Cast the off hind plate in running. Jockey Tasha Chambers (VICE) was found guilty of a charge under AR131(a) for careless riding, in that near the 700m she permitted her mount to shift in when riding forward, resulting in EMPEROR’S REWARD being tightened in onto IT’S A PEARLER, which in turn was forced in onto MUNGO MAN which was checked and lost ground. The license to ride in races of Ms Chambers was suspended for 7 days to commence midnight the 4th of November 2022 and conclude at midnight the 11th of November 2022. In assessing penalty, stewards considered the rider not guilty plea, the racing manners of VICE and Ms Chambers relatively good record under this particular rule.IT’S A PEARLER – Tightened for racing room near the 700m.VICE – Fractious to load and delayed the start. A warning was issued against the starting manners of the mare. Raced ungenerously on occasions during the run.Race 4: REGALS DENTAL BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1200 metresNATIVE BEE – Late scratching at 3.02pm due to no available rider once declared rider Shae Nielson was stood down on medical grounds.MASTER RICHARD – Slow to begin.CODY ALTEM – Raced keenly during the middle stages when looking to obtain cover.CAMAROSA – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after having raced at Rockhampton on the 17th of October 2022 and was cleared to start.
