The following weight alteration was authorised
Race 2: T Chambers – TA CHANSON - + .5kg – 55.5kg
 
Race 1: LION NATHAN MAIDEN PLATE 950 metres
 
EMPEROR’S REWARD – Slow to begin
 
STAZY – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
 
Race 2: STAR LIQUOR YEPPOON OPEN HANDICAP 950 metres
 
MUIRON – Raced wide throughout. Lay inwards just prior to the 100m.
 
SCHWEID AS – Over raced through the early stages.
 
TA CHANSON – Lay outwards under pressure near the 300m bumping with PEACHIES DREAM.
 
PEACHIES DREAM – Bumped with TA CHANSON near the 300m when that runner lay outwards. Bumped with DONE IT AGAIN passing the 100m when DONE IT AGAIN shifted off the heels of MURION.
 
DONE IT AGAIN – Slow to jump and failed to muster early speed. Bumped with PEACHIES DREAM passing the 100m when shifting off the heels of MURION which was laying inwards.
 
 
Race 3: HUNTLY HEAVY EARTHMOVING BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1100 metres
 
BOFORS – Shifted inwards at the start and was slow to begin.
 
LETMELETGO – Slow to jump.
 
PHOSPHER BRONZE – Hung outwards rounding the bend near the 700m. When questioned regarding the performance jockey A Butler advised the gelding hung throughout placing him at a disadvantage. A post-race veterinary examination failed to disclose any abnormalities. Trainer J Wehlow was advised PHOSPHER BRONZE was required to complete a satisfactory trial. Mr Wehlow advised it is his intention to retire PHOSPHER BRONZE from his stable.
 
FAV’S FLYER – Forced wider on the bend near the 700m when PHOSPHER BRONZE which was racing to its inside hung outwards. Laid inwards over the concluding stages.
 
 
Race 4: REGALS DENTAL QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE 1300 metres
 
REBEL’S DAUGHTER – Difficult to load. Apprentice G Semmens was spoken to advisedly regarding the use of her whip over the final stages.
 
 
Race 5: G.J. GARDNER YEPPOON CLASS B HANDICAP 1400 metres
 
GIRRAMAY – Jumped away awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
 
EL OF A SENORITA – Apprentice B Johnson was reprimanded for using her whip on seven occasions prior to the 100m two more than permitted pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii)
 
EXALTED – Over raced through the early stages.
 
TOY WHITTY – Difficult to load.
