When questioned as to his riding in the home straight, Jockey D Chipman stated that after being held up upon straightening the horse was inclined to lay in which prevented him from riding it with his usual vigour. Jockey Chipman added that passing the 150m he was obliged to steady in and away from the heels of GO BETTER and noted the horse was doing its best work over the concluding stages. Jockey Chipman was of the opinion that the horse would be better suited over further distance and with the addition of blinkers. Stewards noted the explanation.
