Commenced to over-race approaching the 1000m when the pace of the race steadied & restrained from heels. Bumped near the 500m. Tnr advised disappointing performance could be attributed to gelding over-racing in middle stages-added gelding had a slight cough after race & may give consideration to removing the winkers prior to its next start. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs.
