Approaching the 900m, was carried wider. Raced wide for the remainder of the event. Near the 500m, was obliged to momentarily steady after improving onto heels. A post-race vet exam revealed gelding to have sustained a minor laceration to its near hindleg.

Began awkwardly & brushed with another runner. Approaching the 1900m was heavily bumped on a number of occasions and became unbalanced, losing running. Held up rounding the home turn and near the 200m, was obliged to shift nearer to the rail to obtain clear running.
