When asked to comment on the horse’s performance, V. Colgan indicated that the horse did not travel well into the race as he had expected and was under pressure to improve passing the 600m. He felt the horse raced flat and may have come to the end of its preparation. Trainer T. Pike agreed with the comments of jockey Colgan and indicated that the horse would now be sent for a spell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Lost the off hind plate in running.

V. Colgan reported that his mount, under its big weight, was unable to sprint when the pace quickened approaching the home turn and did not finish the race of as expected. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg. Connections were advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance prior to being permitted to race again.
