Lloyd was questioned regarding his apparent lack of vigour on his mount over the final 100m of the event. Jockey Lloyd explained that prior to the home turn he placed the filly under hard riding and it was not making ground. He further added that in the early part of the home straight he tested the horse and, in his view, it did not respond and for this reason he failed to ride his mount out inside the final 100m.
