Approaching the 1000m, obliged to steady when another runner shifted out, before being carried outwards and bumped. When asked to comment on the performance, Rider advised that in his opinion, the gelding raced flat third up for the preparation. He further stated the gelding would be better suited over further distances. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
