When questioned regarding her not placing the horse under pressure in the early stages, rider stated that she had anticipated placing the mare closer, however after standing in the barriers due to the delay, it was slow to begin and raced at the rear of the field. Stated she was mindful of the mare racing keenly if placed under pressure early, however when shown the patrol film was unaware the horse had lost as much ground as it did. Further stated that after she balanced the mare up at the rear of the field, it had made steady ground in the middle stages to race with the field.
