Struck heels and blundered near the 1000m, almost dislodging the rider. It was established that after being crossed by PEKING ROAD, which was then steadied, LADY SIOUX struck the heels of LOOSE GOOSE. P. Hammersley reported that after clipping heels near the 1000m his mount was reluctant to stretch out after that incident and as a result was eased in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
