Had to shift ground passing the 350m when avoiding another runner which had been hampered. Stewards questioned rider C Spry regarding the manner he rode the gelding over the concluding stages. Mr Spry advised that after having to be restrained near the 350m he tried SEBERTON again, but it failed to respond to his urgings and felt it was floundering in the track conditions.
